WineD3D for dx7 game on windows
Hello. I have low performance in old DirectX7 game (Aliens vs Predator 2) on Windows. Can Wine ddraw windows build help me with my problem? I'v tried WineD3DForWindows, but compiled build is old and game shows only menu with glitches.

Presumably you *know* it was working because of my screenshots page, so
I'll answer :)
The upshot is Nesticle got broken when the TransGaming stuff started
landing in December. The basic problem is that the new code was for
DirectX7, while Nesticle is a DX5 app. I believe there's been some work
to fix that - I'll check latest CVS later today.

EPSXE under WINE.
Hello. This thread is to help anyone having problems with using EPSXE psx emulator in WINE.
EPSXE can work in WINE, only if you install directx in WINE. WINE alone does not have directx installed with it but EPSXE requires directx to function. You would need to install directx using any game which has "Install DirectX" or something similar. The redist packages for directx found online

game client freezes due to activex required

im trying to get a game client to run in wine.
the client relies on these to function;
VB6
Directx7 or higher
Activex
i was able to solve the VB6 issues so client would load.
directx9 came with wine
