search for: directinput

Since 1.3.28 there should be a " Device configuration dialog in DirectInput.". Where do i find this dialog ? In winecfg thre is no such dialog.

My issue is with the patch for GTA3. I can't get workaround for Fallout mouse problem working as mentioned on: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6033 I created a key at [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\DirectInput] named MouseWarpOverride with the value 'disable' This had no effect. I am trying to use a Guillemot gamepad with PES6 but the buttons are not recognized. In kubuntu system settings I can see my pad, callibrate the joysticks and see the buttons are recognized, but not inside wine (only the joysticks are recognized). I have tried different combinations for the DirectInput entry in the registry but either I have not stumbled upon the correct one or there is another issue preventing the working of the buttons. Any advice on how to proceed? Thanks!!

...trying to play Dungeon Keeper II with wine... the install works well, starting the game also... but i'm still affected by the mouse bug. Hi I recently got my PS3 sixaxis working and its under /dev/input/js1. I am now running ubuntu hardy. It doesn't operate in wine games etc so I need to edit the registry using <joystick name> = <axes mapping> in "directinput" In http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys it says to use the command: Code: WINEDEBUG=+dinput wine program.exe 2>&1 | grep joydev_enum_device to find the name of the device but doing it gives me no output. Hi everybody, I've played Lineage2 since a long time ago on Windows. Now, I discover the joices of ubuntu (9.10), and try to make this game work through Wine. As of WINE 1.3.19 the Onlive client connects and runs nicely. I'm using Ubuntu 11.04, and no firewall software to let it connect. The only problem mouse input (DirectInput I guess) does not work while controlling a player in any games I've tried. It work fine in the Onlive interface and even during in-game menu systems. Any suggestions for an override on this? I'm not experienced with WINE at all, Crossover and now using it to try and get Onlive working so...

Hi, I have a problem with this particular gamepad. I calibrated it under linux with jscal and it is working OK. But now I want to play FIFA with it and fifa don't detect it as Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad but as controler. Hello, I'm having a problem with my stick (Saitek ST290 Pro) under wine on ubuntu - Windows game doesn't respond at all to POV buttons. On Mandriva and debian Lenny everything works - just ubuntu gives me trouble. jstest also responds to the POV buttons. I tried playing with the DirectInput registry entry, but didn't get anywhere. Hi. Using Wine I found myself in a weird situation. 4-axis flightsticks have different axis order in Windows and Linux. It appears that the throttle is named axis 3 in Windows, while yaw is the one that Linux names as axis 3, giving throttle axis 4 order. So, games like Fighters Anthology that have fixed joystick use can't operate well, while games like Simcopter that support assignment work

Hello, I have installed Dungeon Keeper 2 in Wine 1.1.31, in Ubuntu 9.10. The game has installed correctly, but the cursor is stucked. I have read that I have to fix it with "MouseWarpOverride=disabled Wine setting" but i can't find where do it. Please somebody give a hand with that. Thanks. Sorry for the bad english :(

Hi, I am trying to run DK2 in Ubuntu 9.10. It launches, but the mouse pointer is stuck it the middle of the screen. Its possible to move it sometimes, but it seems chaotic. I have done the "Navigate to HKCU / Software / Wine. Create the DirectInput folder/key and create the MouseWarpOverride string value and modify the data to 'disable'" thing advised everywhere, but it did not do anything.
