Where ever I go everyone says wine has it's own implementation of direct 3d, but when I try to run an application(Heroes of might and magic V in my case) it says it can't initialize direct3d9. On the winehq page it says it should run fine, only with a few minor problems. Direct3D9 is not available without OpenGL. I get this when I try to start Team Fortress 2 under Wine 1.2 and using Nvidia drivers 195.36.31. If anyone could shed light on the matter. I am running Fedora 13 64 bit. Thanks

Ya ya i know a little over the top.. I got the program to install and run surprisingly smooth actually, the only issue I have is when it comes time to install the games using the steam client.
