Getting a dynamically generated elements dimensions
Ive posted this before, but unfortunately I still have yet to resolve
it after numerous attempts...
Here is the overview: populate a container element with some new html
using Element.update and then retrieve the new dimensions of the
containig element.
Here is a bit of code snippet that I would think should work.. but
doesn''t:

Error in solve.default message using lme
Dear All,
I?m using lme to analyze a time series gene expression data. I don?t have
all animals in all times, the number of animals in each time is different
and I have lots of NA values.
An example file can be downloaded at lbmp.fcav.unesp.br/leonardo and the
code used is the following:
teste<-read.table(file='example.csv',sep=',',header=T)

Problems with nlme: Quinidine example
This concerns the "Clinical Study of Quinidine" example on page 380
of the book "Mixed-Effects Models in S and S-PLUS" by Pinheiro and Bates (2000).
I have tried to reproduce the example, but get an error:

lKa, lCl),

[OT] security bug with firefox and add-on
greets.
tho this is off-topic for this list, it is still a bug that centos users
along with all users of firefox should be aware of.
due to nature of bug and what is involved, i believe it safer to not go
into great details in an open list. never know which 'hats' are subscribed
to support list. :-D
so my question is just who should i inform of problem?
mozilla.org? author of add-on?

MIXED MODEL WITH REPEATED MEASURES
I am trying to specify a mixed model for my research, but I can't quite get
it to work. I've spent several weeks looking thru various online sources to
no avail. I can't find an example of someone trying to do precisely what I'm
trying to do. I'm hoping some smart member of this mailing list may be able
to help.
First off, full disclosure: (1) I'm an engineer by trade, so

deleted .dbus/sessions-bus/[fn]
greetings.
while using rsync to copy /root/* from tower box to laptop computer, i
accidentally over wrote .dbus/sessions-bus/[fn] on laptop computer.
ran extensive web search, including;
http://www.freedesktop.org/software/dbus/
to find how to replace or recreate file, only to find everything about
what it does and why.
question is, how do i recreate, short of re-installing from .iso?

Convergence and singularity in glmmPQL
Greetings-
Using R 1.5.0 under linux and the latest MASS and nlme, I am trying to
develop a three-level (two levels of nesting) model with a dichotomous
oucome variable. The unconditional model is thus:

groupid/participantid,
+ family = binomial, data = fgdata.10statements.df)
