UPSD slow in responding
...e status of each UPS. Since we have two UPS's the combined interrogation time can blow out to 75 seconds.
Is there any way we can speed up this interrogation time or, at least, determine where the performance issue lies (i.e. with UPSD or UPSC)?
Thanks for your assistance

Password sync in 3.6.0 on OS X 10.7, Lion
My company, which is a mac-heavy shop in the printing industry, needed
to migrate to a faster file server. As our directory trees are very
large, both Samba, and Netatalk were bogging down badly on our Linux
server (Samba, due to heavy CPU usage during directory listings - the
case-sensitive file system issue, and netatalk because the cnid db was
getting too big).
Our solution was to switch to a

I'm having some problems using winbind on Samba 3.0.1 with /etc/nsswitch.conf on a Solaris 8 server. The Solaris 8 release is 10/00.
The basic problem that I have is that there are restrictions on what nsswitch.conf can contain if password ageing is used.
My setup is that users connecting to shares on the Solaris samba server are authenticated against a accounts on a Windows Active
