Inbound Callcenter with multiple DIDs
I'm curious what asterisk solutions there are out there for inbound call
centers with multiple DIDs. I'm looking for solutions for a setup where
single system may have 1000 DIDs going to it, one for each account. Each
account may not get that many calls.
Solutions that will all reporting on calls coming into different
accounts, call routing for queues based on distribution groups. Like

Question about IAX/DID's...
Hi,
Here is a general question, not applying to asterisk so much, but in
the application of asterisk. I have purchased a few IAX DID's through
VoicePulse and am interested in a service provider who has the ability
to provide me with one number (reliable, as I wish to publish), and the
capacity to redirect those calls to my IAX DID's (is this even
possible)? Also, with IAX DID's, how many calls per DID can an

IAX DIDs, Illinois
I have been looking at moving from SIP-based DID (Illinois) providers to
one that uses the IAX protocol for DIDs. After a search, I've come up
with the following:
http://connect.voicepulse.com -- $8/month, many rate-centers
http://www.iax.cc -- $1.50/month + 0.014/min, many rate-centers
Can that be all that there is? I like the pricing pl...

Experiences with Termination Providers?
I hope this is an appropriate question for the list..
I am looking for a VOIP termination provider who can offer the following:
-Flat Rate DID's in lots of areas
-GOOD customer service/support with quick response times
-Toll Free DID's at a reasonable rate
-Reliable/Redundant network and availability etc.
So far I have tested 4 providers which I will not mention here. I have found
two of them to be offer a quality service with m...

How do I get DIDs for remote areas in Canada
I want the ability to setup DIDs in a variety of different remote locations
in Canada. There are various providers that have DIDs in major cities, but
none that focus on the "smaller" cities.
The question is how do I actually setup these DIDs?
Thanks,
Geoff

Toll Free DIDs
I have several toll free numbers that get forwarded to a single local
number assigned to a trunkgroup. I've asked the telco to not forward
those toll free numbers but to assign them as DIDs to the trunkgroup, so
that I can differentiate via DNID.
They said that they can't do that. That toll free numbers must forward.
I know that I could have them each forward to different local DIDs
assigned to the trunkgroup, but that just doesn't seem necessary.
Is the telco correct?

Analog FXO or IAX DIDS for new facility?
...uilding's phones will be a mix of SIP handsets and softphones.
I am confused about one thing: Should we be getting a block of analog
circuits from the local telco (probably AT&T), connected to the server's
FXO cards for in-bound and out-bound POTS calls; or should we get a
block of DIDS numbers from one of the plethora of providers available
over the Internet, and then have our server connect POTS calls by IAX to
the DIDS provider?
We are unsure whether we are going to have separate numbers for everyone
in the organization, or just 1 US phone number, with everyone in the org...

free dids on goiax.com
GoIAX, the Asterisk community's free IAX provider, is offering free US
dids now. I loaded about 175 dids in and put up a very beta sign in page.
Unfortunately I had to restrict the free us/canada outbound calling back
down to toll-free only. There was a lot of war dialing and prank
calling going on. I'm working on some stuff to hopefully curb that kind
of stuff...

How to verify availability of the DID connection?
Hi all,
Occasionally, DIDs from different providers stop working for some reason.
I would like to be able to monitor situations like that and react before any of my clients start going ballistic on me.
Any ideas? Scripts you know of or wrote and willing to share?
Any info?would be greatly appreciated.

Some advice on routing DID's
Would like some advice on the best way to route DID's to remote
asterisk servers. Currently I have multiple DID's on my main Asterisk
server in a datacenter and have remote servers that connect via an IAX
trunk and when a call comes into my server I pass it to the iax peer.
Just wondering what the best way it is to do this without having t...

Where did my DID's go??
...acket8 since a month
after they started. I found that we were outgrowing their services
and decided to move to an asterisk box in the office. I found a
service provider that offered me a reasonable rate. After a fair
ammount of testing I decided to stick with their services and port my
3 primary DID's from Packet8 to the new service.
Well, I guess the porting request got approved... but not completed.
Now when I call any of my DID's I get a message that says:
"Your Call Cannot Be Completed as Dialed ISUP0056115 Announcement 24"
Packet8 is claiming ignorance and says that...

DIDs anywhere but here?
Are there affordable DIDs (preferably IAX) available anywhere outside
the US? I want to use it to meet ICANN requirements for providing a
valid phone number, yet pre-empting some of the telemarketing calls my
domain registrations generate. (Yes, I asked a similar question about
900# availability before). I'd prefer...

Trouble using 2 IAX2 DiDs provided by different ITSPs

Redhat 9
I have DiDs from two different ITSP both set up as IAX2. Each one
works when it's the only one in my iax.conf, but when I have them both
defined in iax.conf at the same time, only one will work. My iax.conf
is provided below.
Any ideas how to fix? I'd like to use both DiDs!
Thanks,

Multiple tennants, two DIDs, One IAX provider
I would like to setup a system with two tennants with two seperate DIDs through one IAX provider account.
Is it possible to route the calls into different contexts based on the DID dialed?
I have searched and found nothing. I do not see anywhere in the console that says what DID was dialed so I am thinking two seperate accounts are needed to make this work. Can...
