The two builds differ by the "--with-old-mac-fonts" option, which "allow Mac resource-based fonts to be used". They differ also on treatments of dfonts (an intermediate font format from the transition of Classic to X). Helvetica, Times, Courier, Geneva, Monaco are still currently shipped as dfonts on Mac OS X. Ram, ? Look inside the .AppleDouble folder and tou will find the resource forks that hold the main part of the font data. ? Not a 'problem' with netatalk, but just how netatalk works so that it can represent apple files on non-apple filesystems. ? ?If you confirm the data all matches, this will prove rsync is working properly. ? Mac OSX fonts in R plots
I had been looking for information about including OSX fonts in R plots for a long time and never quite found the answer. I spent an hour or so gathering together the following solution which, as far as I have tested, works. I'm posting this for feedback and and archiving. I'd be interested in any caveats about the brittleness of the technique. Thanks. F ----- 1. Find font system

Aw: Re: Re: rsync not copy all information for font file
what is the source and destination filesystem? here is some report that rsync has some problem with HFS+ filesystems and "ressource forks": http://quesera.com/reynhout/misc/rsync+hfsmode/ but as you are using ubuntu and not osx i`m curious what`s the problem, so i think we need more information here. regards roland > Gesendet: Freitag, 12.
