RFC: To add __attribute__((regmask("preserve/clobbered list here"))) in clang
...nction is calling a function
which is
written in assembly and it is not defined in current module. IPRA's scope is
limited to a module so for such externally defined function it uses default
calling convention but here as the function is written in assembly user can
provide exact register usage detials. So we dicided to mark declration of
such
function with __attribute__((regmask("clobbered list here"))) so LLVM can
construct regmask out of it and use it with IPRA to improve register
allocation.
For this purpose I added support for this attribute in clang and clang

About support for AMD ROME CPUs
Hi, all
We use AMD Rome CPUs, like EPYC 7452.
RHEL said that RHEL 7.6.6 began to support these cpus(detials:
https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/amd)
, but we found that CentOS7.6 with kernel 3.10.0-957.21.3.el7.x86_64 also
works fine.
So, my questions are:
1) Is there any place that i can find the cpu support info?
2) Dose the kernel 3.10.0-957.21.3.el7.x86_64 from CentOS7.6 already
contains chan...

"Stream I/O error" and a later notation that "some other process" had
modified the file. The Linux kernel is at 2.4.20 (hasn't changed in several
months).
Please reply to fmouse-x98nof@fmp.com if you have any insight into this. I
don't have time to research the tech detials of file locking and such, but
any pointers, suggestions or references anyone might be able to send will be
deeply appreciated.

Icecast? what it is? will it work for me?
...let me get more detailed for you all then.
As i understand it - ICECAST - is actually the streaming server itself
but where does it reside?
I am looking to go back to broadcasting from a streaming server on a 24/7
basis.
I was looking through the documentation on the icecast site but
it talks of detials that i did not have to handle and my host company did.
What im looking for is:
A) How would i gain access of use of an icecast streaming server
B) What are the costs involved (per listener or per block of listeners)
C) Will i be able to have direct access to uploading the audio for streaming
D) Wi...

You either run your own, or pay someone to run one for you.

to reach out to Cpanel directly to see if this is some custom code they
added to their distros.
Anyway, W/R/T emails sent with dtails/ + addresses ie:

And with LDA/LMTP, in Cpanel by default the detials part, in this case
"bar" will be created in it's own folder. Automatically. To us, this

We understand there is:

Profiling R code and C code (Rprof and gprof)
...with a
main() function.
I'm currently writing R codes meshed with C Codes, and use .Call as the
interface between the two parts. Rprof reports details of each R
functions, but does not report the details of the C functions.
I'm wondering if there is a way such that Rprof can report the detials of
each C functions as did in gprof.
One may suggest I can compile all of the C codes and write a main
function, and then use the gprof. That's definitely true before I moved from .C to
.Call. Since now the R codes and C codes are meshed in the same program,
it does not seem a trivial j...

don't display rulers in image() command and script file input
Dear R experts,
1. How can I turn off the display of rulers in image() command?
2. Rather than typing my commands at the command line, how can I input a file
contents aside from doing a copy and paste operation?
Thanks in advance,

question regarding kpss tests from urca, uroot and tseries packages
Hi R users!
I've come across using kpss tests for time series analysis and i have a question that troubles me since i don't have much experience with time series and the mathematical part underlining it.

Relay Planning (many questions)
Hi, I am looking to replace a Quicktime streaming Cluster
with Icecast 2.2.0.
I have a couple questions:
QTSS Supports multicast to multiple relays, does Icecast?
I understand that Icecast creates a Master / slave relationship
so that the following should work:
1) Send content to Master
2) Have the 4 systems in the cluster connect to the master as a slave
system
What happens if the master

You got some 'splaininn to do Lucy ;-)
We just had a security application vendor come in. We asked about Linux
support and he said that putting a security application on top of an
insecure OS was useless. When I asked what he meant by insecure he replied
that Linux does not have a true Auditing capability - as opposed to HP-UX &
Solaris which they do support. Can anyone explain to me what he was talking
about?
Thanks,
Marty
