Ezstream Program Call Patch
Alrighty, Got it patched and working (at least in my one setup). You can pull the patch from: http://denetron.com/~dballenger/ezstream-program.patch (I can post the pre-patched source too if people would like) You'll have to add a "<filetype></filetype>" line into your config files, just put "file" if you want it to work just by reading that file or playlist.

Large Datasets
I have recently been using R - more speciifcally the GUI packages Rattle and Rcmdr. I like these products a lot and want to use them for some projects - the problem that I run into is when I start to try and run large datasets through them. The data sets are 10-15 million in record quantity and usually have 15-30 fields (both numerical and categorical). I saw that there were some packages

glitch in terms documentation (PR#4146)
These are two small items that caught my eye. I'm looking at the R 1.7.1 2003-06-16 pdf reference manual. There are several refences to terms.default (e.g., p. 711, 712) but no definitions of it. I'm guessing this means terms, but it's a little puzzling. Also, the desription of terms.object does not mention that the "variables" attribute is actually a list of

OggVorbis "tutorial" file
Hi, I would like to ask if someone couldhelp me. I am writing a decoder for ogg-vorbis. I am not using the libvorbis because we want a code using our memory functions and I am going to rip some of the decoder functionality as we want only to use mono, 44.100, 96-160kbs sound files. We want to write the fastest and cleanest code possible even using assembler functions where possible. I have

You can find a short desription here: http://wiki.dlang.org/Building_and_hacking_LDC_on_Windows_using_MSVC, section Build LLVM. mess
I forgot to present the problem of wine failure to launch also to the wine list. While my amd64 debian etch is in order, 32 bit debian etch has suffered much and is now in a state of semi-mess. Kernel booted is linux-image-2.6-15-1-k7: but #aptitude shows also a collection of kernels, partly broken: BA linux-image-2.6-486 BA linux-image-2.6-686 BA linux-image-2.6-686-smp iA linux-image-2.6-k7

[LLVMdev] Building LLVM 3.3 on Win64
I'm trying to build LLVM 3.3 using cmake/nmake, Microsoft C++ 2012, on a 64-bit Windows 7 system. I tried it with the 32-bit compiler as a test case first and that appeared to work, then with the 64-bit compiler in the hope that would give me a 64-bit build of LLVM, but instead got this error message: [ 86%] Generating X86CompilationCallback_Win64.obj Microsoft (R) Macro Assembler (x64)

Thunderbird 1.5 and messages with no Date: header
hi, some of my Thunderbird users have a minor but annoying problem with messages that have no Date: header. these clients use BODY[HEADER.FIELDS (Date)] as the date for messages. when a message has no Date: header, they display the date as 01/01/1970 10:00:00 because Dovecot returns empty string. would it be possible for Dovecot to return INTERNALDATE instead, for messages that contain no Date:

Emacs & ESS under Windows
After the discussions about appropriate editors under Windows to use with R, I have managed to install Emacs, XEmacs, and ESS under WinNT 4.0, and these work fine. It's not necessary to compile anything to use R with ESS, just to install Emacs and ESS, and do a few modifications in some files. XEmacs is also easy to install but apparently ESS cannot run with it (confirmed by a message by Tony
