The nbdkit project (under the libguestfs umbrella) has already
implemented an NBD server that can bridge to an image served over http,
if you want to use that as a starting point.

So I think what you mean here is that in a browser you'd open a local
(eg) ISO, and then that ISO could be shared with a remote VM. The
browser runs a Javascript NBD server. The remote VM is qemu. Between
the two is a WebSocket.

allowing users to change system time
Greetings Samba users,
I'm the proud administrator of a samba 3 domain with openldap backend. All
is well but for one niggling little problem which i hope somebody could help
me with ?.
My pdc is set up as a time server "time server = yes" and I have created a
logon script with the following entry :
net time \\mypdc /set /yes

RDF Metadata Specification
I've put together the first attempt to defining an RDF metadata
vocabulary for use with the CD Index/MusicBrainz/OggVorbis. If you care
about metadata issues, please take a look at:

Samba Problems
I have a couple of problems with Samba that I would appreciate help
with:
1. Since installing version 1.9.17p1, error messages such as "ERROR:
set_share_mode: failed to ftruncate share mode file
/var/smb/locks/share.9175085.1500224 to size 42 (Permission denied)" are
appearing in log.smb.
2. When a directory on a UNIX machine contains a file named *, this file
appears with the name ~16
