PROPOSAL: Validations as Mixin
It seems to me that Validations are quite useful for many objects, even
ones having nothing to do with ActiveRecord.
Common examples are Contact Us forms, multi-step forms, web service
paramater validations, etc.
I took a look at the source for Validations, and it seems that it is
very independent from ActiveRecord. I caught only three depenedencies:
1. validates_numericy --> depends on

querying returned results
Hi I''m using the acts_as_ferret to index one table in my database. The
table contains formation about listed items and each of these items
belongs to a section and a category. On the results page I want to have
two drop down boxes whose contents are populated depeneding on the
returned results. So for example the section drop down should only show
sections that exist in the result set, also i would like to display a
count of the number of results returned in that section in the drop down
e.g. sections[cars:5]. Does anyone know the best way to go about this?

How to create MULTILEVELS in a dataset??
Dear R users
I have a data set which has five variables. One depenedent variable y, and 4
Independent variables (education-level, householdincome, countrygdp and
countrygdpsquare). The first two are data corresponding to the individual
and the next two coorespond to the country to which the individual belongs
to. My data set does not make this distinction between individual level and
country

[LLVMdev] EFLAGS and MVT::Glue
The log message for revision 122213 says:
> Change the X86 backend to stop using the evil ADDC/ADDE/SUBC/SUBE nodes (which

(MVT::Flag has since been renamed to MVT::Glue.)
That revision made bug 8404 go away.
Am I right in thinking that one of the problems with MVT::Glue is

Problem with Cacti and CentOS 4.4
I just for the first time attempted to install Cacti from the RPMForge
repo on CentOS 4.4.
And I have to say that it hasn't gone very well at all. I have installed
Cacti on Fedora a good 20 times with absolutely no problem.
Basically the default rrds/graphs for localhost are generated but no other
rrds/graphs are generated.
When I look at the poller cache or snmp cache I see all the data.

Time series count model?
You may want to take a look at a paper by Julia Kelsall and Scott Zeger in
JRSS(C) - 1999, pp. 331-344. This paper describes a frequency domain
approach to log-linear regression modeling of poisson-distributed count
data, accounting for correlation and over-dispersion. There are also some S
functions available to implement the methodology.

New qemu source drop with improved kqemu module
I have uploaded a current source drop from the qemu subversion repository,
to the download area. Additionally, there is a new Kernel kqemu module
that will allow a 32-bit guest to run on a 64-bit host.
The current source base uses a different code generator from the orignial
Dyngen one. The new one is called "TCG" for "The Code Generator" and
is supposed to fix the
