mock, extras vs epel
...icking with the extras version instead? Or even reasons other than the shiny version number on the epel one to go with it? Is the extras version the version used by the upstream provider and thus the CentOS team keeps it around to do the matching builds? Todd Denniston - a second "thanks, again"
Almost there on getting the current US fed PIV cards working properly (and *not* pulling up the idiot coolkey stuff), and I was just looking for where ssh-agent is started automagically when you log in... and I found the thread I started early last April... and that inlcuded you, Todd, mentioning where it's started (/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc-common), so, a second tip o' th' hat to you.

centos wiki strangeness.
In preparing to answer a question about some yum undesired behavior, I wanted to reference fastest mirror info, but when I went to https://wiki.centos.org/PackageManagement/Yum/FastestMirror I find all the text has been squished to the right hand side of the page and made 1 word wide all the way down. The https://wiki.centos.org/FrontPage looks similar but perhaps it is a little better? Or is

...he new system in under the users noses? that is besides setting to permissive, which I do not want to do. I am finding http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/SELinux and http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/Deployment_Guide-en-US/ch-selinux.html of mild use. [LLVMdev] Floating point atomic load and add
Hello, I'm wondering how I can create an atomic load and add instruction for floating point values. If I use IRBuilder::CreateAtomicRMW() I get the error message: "atomicrmw operand must have integer type". I am using LLVM 3.4 and the only system I need to support is x86.

metafont on CentOS 5?
...a replacement? What is the name and which repo? please. I have a font bundle I need to use (which is not provided in an RPM that I can find), but metafont does not seem to be available. tetex provides the /usr/share/texmf/metafont directory structure, but not a */bin/metafont... Thanks. -- Todd Denniston Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane) Harnessing the Power of Technology for the Warfighter

USB install annoyances (not OT)[SOLVED]
Yet another denial - it's as though it's also blocking me based on the relationship of included text vs. new text. blah, blah, blah. Let's see if this is enough new text to get through. How can rpm "%{SUMMARY}" not be consistent?
I have been seeing something for quite some time which has confused me considerably for over a year, perhaps one of you can help me understand. Assumed: rpm queries are against _a_ database. Assumed: database queries against the same database, without changes to the data in the database, will return the same data. Confusion: then why are some of the summaries reported by rpm different? Each day

CESA-2013:0898 & CEBA-2013:0902, centos 5.9 repodata not pushed?
Johnny (& other CentOS folks), Am I being fooled by some proxies between me and centos (and all the centos mirrors, which what I normally use), or has the repodata for CentOS 5.9 updates not been updated since 03-Jun-2013 12:08? I was under the impression that the repodata on the main centos servers was updated about the same time as any CentOS-announce message going out, unless I also see a

[LLVMdev] Use list preservation when using Instruction::clone
I'm trying to create a clone of a function using Function::Create() and CloneFunctionInto. However, I'm running into an issue. I believe that the instructions in the function clone still have Use edges to values in the original function. This is a problem for my purposes. For example, consider an original function F. I create a new function G belonging to the same module and call

Anyone using CentOS 6 on PC104 stacks?
Is anyone using CentOS 6 on PC104 stacks? I have tried a couple of different CPU cards with CentOS 6.5 [no updates]. I can install with the Install DVD to the PATA hard drive just fine, but they each hang up while the installed system is trying to get UDEV going. And by "hang up" I mean a) leave the machine setting for hours and it never gets udev started, AND b) the keyboard has gone

[LLVMdev] SSA for memory objects
Hello, I'm looking to learn more about what is available for memory versioning or inducing some kind of SSA for memory objects. I found this page: http://llvm.org/docs/tutorial/OCamlLangImpl7.html#memory-in-llvm Which says: "[LLVM] does not require (or permit) memory objects to be in SSA form.... In LLVM, instead of encoding dataflow analysis of memory into the LLVM IR, it

Compiling custom "vmlinuz" PXE kernel?
Hello CentOS list, I still need help. Does anyone know how I would go about creating my own "vmlinuz" PXE kernel? I'm still trying to get the NUC6CAYH to load to a LiveCD, and I'm getitng nowhere with Intel. My company wants to do hundreds of these per month; we're not above paying for professional help at this point. My current line of reasoning is to get whatever

TeX Live on CentOS 7
Hi, I just installed the OpenVAS vulnerability scanner on my CentOS 7 workstation. Everything seems to work fine, except PDF generation. The 'openvas-check-setup' script tells me that PDF generation works fine, but whenever I want to generate a report, the result is unusable and can't open in Evince or Okular. After googling a bit, I found out that several users complained that Tex
