[LLVMdev] Whole-function isel
I know that this has been discussed (at least in passing) a few times
on the list, but I couldn't locate a bug for it. Have any
architectural plans been made for it?
Are there architectural roadblocks with the current LLVM
infrastructure that will complicate the process? What has demotivated
the implementation of this so far (is it not that big a benefit on
important targets, too much time/effort for the payoff)?
In toying with some code generators I've been frustrated in getting
the code gen prepare pass + isel to implement the heuristics I need
to match some addressi...

some more Spec questions
Hi !
<p>I previously posted a mail in the vorbis-dev mailing list because I'm
trying to implement a vorbis decoder in java from scratch in my
sparetime and have some questions about the bitstream spec.
As I did not get any replies, I got kinda dissapointed and
demotivated - But now.... I'm trying to take my chances here.
:-)
I'm NOT a newbie to source coding (I successfully coded an MPEG1
Layer II decoder from scratch by the ISO spec draft).
Therefore, the following questions might be quite reasonable.

Kenneth,
In general, I am more than happy to help people on this list. It is good
for the community and I enjoy helping people be successful

samba development
i started on the nt domains for unix project on the basis of paul ashton's
enthusiastic and "this can't be too hard" attitude, back in august 97.
since then, with the encouragement of a number of people over the last
three years, and with the discouragement of others, the nt domains
protocols are now pretty well understood.
due to that constant discouragement, i no longer find

Multihead related issues

know the details, I'm bringing it up here.

PS: The reason I've been a bit passive lately have been a combination
of general IRL bussy-ness, and that I actually use multiscreen and
just felt a bit demotivated that it didn't work. I'm prepared to start
porting or re-implementing multihead-related work as needed.

...up. Evan and I were tossing around crazy ideas
about this just today. If you're interested, maybe we should get
together for lunch or coffee or something.

There is a huge payoff to doing this or even making progress on it.
It is an elegant solution to many issues. There are two current
problems:
1) There are s...

[LLVMdev] compiling the full SPEC CPU2000 suite to LLVM bytecode
Hello,
Some problems were solved, new ones arised... Getting closer though...
The fixes for the previous problems are at the bottom of this email,
bug reports will be submitted when all problems are solved.
+++ New/remaining problems +++
Currently, 9/26 benchmarks compile and run succesfully. One (fma3d)
still has a f95 related problem (see below).
The other 16 are divided into two groups:
