How do change catalog before catalog is delted?
In my rails application, there are two models:post and catalog.
One post has a catalog, and one catalog has many posts.
When I delete a catalog, the posts belongs to the catalog will not be
shown normal, for it''s catalog is no existed.
Now I want to create(if the ''Defalut catalog'' is not existed) a
''Defalut catalog'' in catalogs table, and make the posts''s catalog belongs
to it,before I delete a catalog.
I just know there is ''before_destory'' in ActiveRecord.But I don''t know
how to do it.
Thanks for any r...

Intel 10G X520-2 and iscsi storage poor performance
...er installed a Centos 6.4 as I did and the r/w
performance is back to our results .... up to 40MB/s ....
What the hell? Are the default driver and settings so bad? I know and
researched a lot of tuning options like buffers, new drivers etc.
We did not check that for now, but are'nt there some defalut values and
settings which apply as well to be much faster?
Or in other words, are some realy simple hints and suggestions to
a) debug / find the bottleneck and
b) to increase the performance to the same level as windows?
Thanks a lot for any help and feedback . G?tz

EXT3 filesystem on scsi device becoming readonly
Dear All,
Can somebody help me on the following issue:
When I mount the SCSI device on storage with ext3 filesystem & perform cp
in loop, it becomes readonly.
The steps to reproduce the issue are:
1)Create a ext3 file system on HDLM device
mkfs ?t ext3 /dev/sdn
2)Mount the device
Mount /dev/sddlmaa /home/<dir. name>
3)Execute cp ?f command in a loop on mounted device.

Typo here ^^^
Should it default to the current directory or should we just require
the callers (ie. you) specify this directory always?

vsftp vs shell logins
I need to be able to allow specific system accounts to ftp to a box. As far
as I can tell I have to give them a shell in /etc/passwd (i.e. /bin/bash) in
order for their ftp login to work. I do *not* however want them to be able
to log into a shell or ssh session. I cannot restrict by IP. What's the
best way to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Scott
