arrange data
Dear r-users,
I have daily rainfall data from 1971 to 2000. I would like to extract november and december data only. I would also like to do column bind for november and december, therefore I would like to delete 31 December from december data so that the length of november and december are the same. Hope somebody can help me. I tried this below:

Include/Exclude problems
hi,
I am trying to rsync a very large filesystem which is about 3TB, but
naturally I want to exclude a lot of things. However, I am really
struggling with excluding directories.
SRC=/dasd/december/2008 #Notice there is no trailing slash
TARGET=/backup/december/2008 #Notice there is no trailing slash
I want to exclude
/dasd/december/2008/Data
/dasd/december/2008/Logs
/dasd/december/2008/Catalogs
#NOTICE: I added a trailing slash for $SRC but nothing for $TARGET

question
Hi guys,
I am using the cor() function to see if there are correlations between March cortisol levels and December cortisol levels and I'm trying to figure out if the function is doing what I want it to do.
Each sample has it's own separate row in the CSV file that I'm working out of. March Cort and December Cort are different columns and they come from separate samples, therefore their values wo...

Cran package directory 404 error since 30th December
I have been getting a object not found error trying to access the CRAN
package directory since the 30th December. I have tried several mirrors
with the same error. A search here only shows a single question on this
from anyone else (on the 30th December) which wasn't answered.
I am surprised that there hasn't been more comment on this. Is there an
announcement somewhere about this that I have misse...

how to calculate seasonal mean for temperatures
...;days",format = "%d/%m/%Y")
DF <- data.frame(data=c(2.5,1.4,3.6,0.5,-1.2),date=date)
With this daily data, I need to calculate seasonal means.
I mean for season: winter (January,February,March) ; Spring (April,May,June)
; Summer(July,August,September) and Autumn(October,November,December).
My main problem is that all my files starts and ends not the same year (some
of them starts 1st January 2006 and ends 31th december 2008, some of them
starts 1st January 2007 and ends 31th December 2011, ...).
So not the same year, but all of them starts a 1st January and ends a 31th

save to file
Hi,
What's the equivalent of "Save to File" from the R console File menu on an R routine? Just trying
to capture the whole R console into a text file when my code fails.

[LLVMdev] PyPy sprint announcement: Gothenburg 7th - 11th December 2005
[The first part of the announcement did not make it into the previous
mail]
Hello LLVM-ers,
Most of you know of the LLVM backend in PyPy. We would like to use
LLVM JIT
for the next phase of PyPy. If any of you would like to help us,
please come to Gothenburg
next december. We have not put an LLVM track on the todo-list below
mainly because
no one will be there dedicated to LLVM. If however someone would like
to participate we
will make sure some of the PyPy developers will be available to make
your time worthwhile.
cheers,
Eric

[LLVMdev] Paris LLVM Social - December 4
On Tuesday next week (December 4) the next LLVM social will take place in Paris.
Everyone interested in LLVM, clang, Polly, ... is invited to join in.
Those not interested can come along and heckle the rest of us if they like!
This is a casual meeting to get to know people working on LLVM or to learn
something about LLVM....
