UPS::Nut PERL module is rewritten
...ks,
I had to rewrite UPS::Nut because it was not developed since 2002
and it was based a very old version of upsd speaking a totally
outdated protocol.
If some of you interested in it you can get from my debian repository.
package name is libups-nut-perl.
Add this to your APT sources:
deb http://debian6.ki.iif.hu/ lenny contrib
deb-src http://debian6.ki.iif.hu/ lenny contrib
Or simply download
http://debian6.ki.iif.hu/pool/contrib/libu/libups-nut-perl/libups-nut-perl_1.5_all.deb
(Eeee... I forgot to say: it is accessible with IPv6 only. Sorry. Please
do not complain about this.)

the cd images (debian6-cd1, debian6-netinst, debian6-buisnesscard) have

Hi all,
has anybody ever encountered this ERROR before? It happens frequently on
my debian6-based pbx. I'm using Asterisk 1.8.11 with dahdi-linux-2.4.1
and a quadBRI card.

Zero-blocks in large files (smb in libvirt/kvm RHEL)
...and I'm running out of ideas how to
debug it :)
Whenever I copy large files (several hundred MB/GB per file), it happens
every now and then that some of them have blocks of zeroes in them. If it
happens, it's always between around 50kB and 150kB.
The problem occurs when I copy files from Debian6 to Samba on RHEL6.5,
using rsync.
It happens frequently, but not always...
The system setup is rather complex, since it's a network-based
multi-server 300 TB mass storage. That's why there's Linux Kernel software
RAID, libvirt/KVM, GlusterFS, etc involved.
I've narrowed it down p...

os/type/machine/pc-xxxx meaning ? following live migration issue after an upgrade
Dear All,
I have upgrade my hypervisors:
qemu-kvm 0.12.5 => 1.1.2
libvirt-bin 0.8.3-5 => 0.9.12.3
(debian6 to debian7)
After that upgrade, i noticed that live migration was most of the time
failing (freeze) (not always)
I also noticed that creating a machine with the updated hypervisor was
always working.
After some days of investigation mainly on network side, i found this
setting that seems to fi...

Hi,
I build Xen 4.1.1 on a Gentoo base dom0. Everything is working great. I tried one of Joseph Glanville''s PV-HVM image (debian6) and its working as it should.
Now l''im trying to build a Gentoo based domU with then same specs as Joseph''s PV-HVM.
I used a copy of the .cfg and adapted to my needs to make the gentoo work.
when booting the minimal install image using the iso, it starts loading the CD and the...

In case of fallbacks you have to check properly through querying a
custom XSL, JSON or the admin backend.

migration from IMAP/POP3 courier server to a remote dovecot server
Dear all
i'm planning a transparent migration from a courier server that provides
both IMAP and POP3 access to users to a remote dovecot server with both
IMAP and POP3 access.
I have to migrate about 2500 users for 250 GB of space.
I'm using dovecot 2.2.5.4 on debian6 squeeze.
To make a transparent migration i have to maintain old IMAP UIDs and POP3
UIDs, so i've read
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration
and
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration/Courier
and
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration/Dsync
And decided that probably the best tool to use is Dsync, as the...

migrating from old config file format to sxp
...ile to sxp? I tried
"xm create OLDCONF -n" and pasted the output in a config file at
/var/lib/xend/domains/SOMEFOLDER/config.sxp, but that did not make virsh
recognize the vm at all (although I restrarted xend, which helps for
example after virt-clone).
I am trying this on Xen4 using Debian6.

virsh slow on execution
Hi.
I've set up a Debian6+Xen4+libvirt0.9 server. VMs are going to be managed by PaceMaker with VirtualDomain primitive.
As found on some mailing list I've set
export VIRSH_DEFAULT_CONNECT_URI="xen:///"
in root's .bashrc, but when I run virsh commands, it takes up to 10s to get the result!
Is this normal...
