Thanks Jeremy, i'm analyzing this with the application team, we'll see what we can find. > I was hoping to find a way for the samba4 server to behave like samba3 (as > in ignoring bad characters and replacing them with an underscore > character), which in the end resulted in the best compromise. In the meantime, do you have any idea why there is difference between the two

Region subtag in package 'Language' field
...WRE also mentions rfc-5646, which refers to ISO 3166-1 for region/country subtags but it is unclear if these are allowed in the field? Spell checking libraries (e.g. myspell/hunspell) typically use locale-like language names to identify the appropriate dictionary such as "en_GB" or "de_AT", see for example [1,2]. Merely specifying "en" or "de" is ambiguous to the spell checker. I was wondering if the WRE definition of the "Language" field could allow for this? Having less languages in Firefox (hunspell dictionaries provide too many locales)
Hello, on CentOS 6, I am routinely writing mails in English, German and French and using the related hunspell dictionaries for the spelling in Firefox (I'm using Google Apps). This works fine but the problem is that languages are added for all the possible locales (English US, UK, Philippines, Bostwana, Trinidad and Tobago, Denmark (sic!), ... and German Germany, Austria... and French

[PATCH] internationalisation: Replace autopoint infrastructure with libintl-perl
I noticed that virt-v2v, which is written exclusively in perl, failed to generate virt-v2v.pot. After much head scratching I also noticed that libguestfs.pot didn't include any messages from perl sources. Some reading of libintl-perl shows that a somewhat more complicated xgettext command line is required, as it doesn't understand Locale::TextDomain syntax by default. After a little more
