Hello, Dovecot bunch and Timo. I am using Sylpheed as my Dovecot/IMAP client. At home behind my LAN Sylpheed can send email because the Postfix SMTPd views my LAN as a trusted network. No such luck when I'm away from home. I know it has something to do with configuring the relay access elements but what I have tried so far does not work. I'm sure someone has had this simple issue

Hello Dovecot folks, I have Dovecot running reasonably well against my Postfix SMPTd. All mail is stored in Maildir format only. In my Thunderbird client I can see the Inbox, Trash and Sent folders in the Thunderbird pane but no other directories. I have very many Maildir format directories under my Inbox directory but I cannot see them in the Thunderbird client. I have the Dovecot info and debug

Hello dovecot gods, after using Postfix with webmail for 8 years the new gen of email smartphones forces me to consider using IMAP. Actually, for several months I was successfully using IMAP. I believe the reason why IMAP worked previously (before migrating to the Cloud) the hosting server and the client machines were considered local by the system. Now, I have moved everything to a Cloud service.
