Sorting Data?
...me manuals, but I cannot find my answer. I have a file containing many data: Vpn Code Family Age F1 F2 ... F17 1 1 M 46 1 2 ... 1 2 1 D 18 3 2 ... 4 3 2 M 50 3 3 ... 3 ... and so on. Now I can read it by: F = read.table("file", header=T) but now I want to seperate the mothers (M) and daugthers (D) of the family with all the data in all other fields. How can I do that? The 'Code' Tells me which mother belongs to which dougther. I want to make a matrix where I have the mothers on one and the daugthers on the other axis and compair the distance of every question (F1...F17)...

advanced dist
...a file: Vpn Code Family Test 1 X1 m 45 2 X1 t 58 3 X2 m 44 4 X2 t 43 ... When I now do: Fbg <- read.table("Fragebogen.data", header=TRUE) dist(Fbg['Test']) I have the distances between everyone to everyone. Now I want to have the mothers (m in Family) at the y axis and the daugthers (t) on the x axis, so I have half the size of my distance matrix. Is that possible somehow? And if possible, I would have the 'Code' at the top to know which mother and wich daugther are compared. Thanks, Martin

I have gotten the output I remember you needing from the last issue for you. What do you think the problem might be? Here is the information: First the logs from the

Natulius CD burner does not accept my 700Mb CD-R disks
When I try to burn anything to cd, I get a message to insert a CD large enough for my file (normally an ISO image). Doesn't matter if the iso image is a 600Mb Centos ISO or a 48Mb DSL ISO. Same warning. My CD-Rs are Memorex 700MB/80min 52x disks that work just fine on XP systems. So what am I missing configuration-wise?
