1.3.11 instability on MIPS?

It's simplistic, but have you tried forcing all icecast code to
compile with gdb support enabled, then running it in GDB?

1.3.11 instability on MIPS?
...e) with a MIPS processor. The icecast server compiles, and
runs fine, atleast for a while. But on 2 occasions over the last 10
hours I have had to manually restart the server.
Is there any known bug on the MIPS architechture, or should I
investigate the problem more?
Thanks

Print Driver Detection
Hello:
I have a few Mac and Linux systems which use CUPS for their printing
subsystem. I need to print to some printers via a Windows server
(which serves them over SMB). I do not have administrative access to
the Windows server.
Is there a way to have CUPS/Samba choose the correct printing driver,
or at least use some "sensible default" that will work with most
printers? The

libpthread and icecast2
...es a question for anyone awake at this hour, does icecast2 require
libpthread? I'm trying to build it on a freebsd 4.3 box, and it wants to
link against libpthread. If this is not required on the freebsd
platform, then is it safe to just take out of the makefile?
Thanks

How to disallow to create files with bad charracters
Hi.
I would like to ask you, if it is possible to disallow to create files which
contains 'bad' charracters in filenames.
I have blocked filenames with national charracters by specifying
unix charset = ascii, but it is still possible to create file named:
"my stupid file ... . . .doc".
I'd like to disallow this ( allowing only alphanums and underscore

ices2 and Icecast2 on debian configuration question
Hi there,
I have a Debian sarge 512 MB RAM machine with icecast2 and ices2 that I
installed via aptitude. I have a 3MBit/s download and 800KBit/s upload
link.
I would like to configure icecast2 and ices2 properly.
Here is my situation:
1)I have a dtdns address omac.darktech.org
2)icecast2 and ices2 on port 8000 would be fine.
3)I simply want to broadcast my 6 year old niece's voice which I have
converted to .ogg using the blade encoder.
i.e. bladeenc elyse4.wav elyse4.ogg
3.3)I don't seem to need a relay since I am running both icecast2 and
ices2 on the same...

1.3.11 instability on MIPS?

have many other options.
If someone wants a shell account on the server in question to test and
possibly debug what its doing, let me know. I'd be glad to provide one.
I just would like to know why the stupid thing dies all the time :(
