Hi Keith, As I explained before, Valgrind won't run in my arch. I'll Google for some other memory leak detection tools, however. Running R in Ubuntu...really basic..sorry
...tall the LearnBayes package. My biggest problem right now is that I don't know how to run R except as a local-directory command in the Terminal. Certain R commands cause the terminal to go into some changed state and not take any more commands. Right now for example I ahve a last line that is darkened in over (END) and it's sitting there. Any advice? Oh, if you suspect something in your sources.list (specific to Dell) email ma and I'll explain. Thanks. Room533

inset one map on top of another map
I want to overlay a small inset map on top of another map, but I can't figure out how to do it. For example, here are two different maps: # map 1 - Ohio map("state", region= "ohio") # map 2 - US with Ohio darkened map("state") map("state", region="ohio", fill=T, add=T) I would like to add map 2 as a small inset in the corner of map 1. I have tried: map("state", region= "ohio") par(new=TRUE, mar=c(3, 3, 15, 15)) map("state") map("state&quot...

ad-hoc query
How do you run an ad-hoc query that does not belong in any model? I thought it was something like ActiveRecord::connection.find("my query..."), but I can''t seem to find the documentation on it. I know I''ve seen it somewhere before, though. thanks, Jeff -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Multpiple sound cards with ices client?
I was wondering is it possible to use the ices client with more that one soundcard under Centos Linux? I only want to stream one mono audio feed to icecast, but am already using the Line input of my sound card for something else, and the mic input might be far to sensitive. [PATCH] Rendering: swap buffers and copy only needed parts

For example screenshot (quick-n-dirty patch provided) and scale (shadows don't belong to damaged area, causing slowly darkening and finally solid black border around scaled windows) do that. all I wanted was a class reference...
And I got this lousy LatexParser. Ah well... A new cut of the automatic WxRuby documentation is now viewable online at http://www.pressure.to/wxruby/. There''s also a pdf version http://www.pressure.to/wxruby/wxruby.pdf [3MB, 751 pages!] and a tarball http://www.pressure.to/wxruby/wxruby2.tar.gz [1.3MB] In terms of output, it''s no advance on what Sean has already done.
