...to hack the libtool-disable-static script to get EGREP from the PATH. There was a similar hack for SED in the libtool file with a JEC comment. ...CONTROL is BEING fiddled WITH. wav & mp3 output is fine. I ended up writing a perl wrapper script for vlc that first runs the command line flac decoder and then tells vlc to play the wav file(s). On the off chance this is useful to someone else, it's at: http://people.internet2.edu/~danno/macos_flac_vlc_wrapper/ note that it will leave lots of wav files lying around in /tmp/vlcflac that you'll have to clean up manually. I am in a precarious spot.... I run centos 4.0. I upgraded my mod_perl RPM to mod_perl 2.0.1. CGI.pm 3.10 (3.05 comes with centos 4.0) fixes some namespace issues with mod_perl vs mod_perl 2.0.1. I need to upgrade to it to 3.10. Yet that file belongs to the perl rpm that comes with centos. What do people generally do in this type of situation? Do I need to compile a new perl just to upgrade

On the other hand I'm not able to figure out where the contents of /bin/vi come from - and the 4096 size is quite suspicious.
