Hello sylvian Thanks. I use kernel 2.4.3 so far, and the Linux Progress Patch seems to start at 2.4.13.... ...Luis Thansk Yes we tried that and it works, but if you are in the field and only have new clean compact-flash and no DOS, you are in trouble. I can syslinux directly to the USB card-reader/writer under Linux without problems too. ...s2000 does not seem to let SysLinux.com to write to the bootsector, or at least it complains about. Trying to boot from the Flash generated on Windows2000, results in a message from BIOS, telling that no boot-medium was found.
