making network configuration sticky in nexenta core/napp-it
Sorry for an off-topic question, but anyone knows how to make network configuration (done with ifconfig/route add) sticky in nexenta core/napp-it? After reboot system reverts to 0.0.0.0 and doesn''t listen to /etc/defaultrouter Thanks.

Any rhyme or reason to disk dev names?
Hello, I am curious to know if there is an easy way to guess or identify the device names of disks. Previously the /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 system made sense to me... I had a SATA controller card with 8 ports, and they showed up with the numbers 1-8 in the "t" position of the device name. But I just built a new system with two LSI SAS HBAs in it, and my device names are along the lines of:

b75 zone ip-exclusive problem
got a problem with b75 that the zone with ip-exclusive just takes the identity of the global zone. For the primary nic there is no option to set its ip and hostname. When i change the host name and ip the hostname does not change and the networking goes weird for both the zone and global zone. sparc eri qfe There any bugs about or should this work fine? Dom0 issues: snv_79b and Tecra M9
Hi all, I have a Toshiba Tecra M9 and have not been able to boot it dom0. This is running SXDE 01/08, snv79b. After booting under kmdb and setting moddebug=80000000 before booting the Solaris kernel (with help from Dan Mick), I was able to see mac_ether as the last thing loading, right after loading the e1000g driver. I cannot drop into kmdb via F1-A after it hangs. I''ve also

no hot spare activation?
While testing a zpool with a different storage adapter using my "blkdev" device, I did a test which made a disk unavailable -- all attempts to read from it report EIO. I expected my configuration (which is a 3 disk test, with 2 disks in a RAIDZ and a hot spare) to work where the hot spare would automatically be activated. But I''m finding that ZFS does not behave this way

questions about tx rings...
I''ve been thinking about hardware that has multiple transmit rings ("tx resources"). We really should have a way to expose this up to the stack. And ideally, the stack should guarantee that a given flow will always be sent down using the same hardware tx resource. I''ve heard that crossbow will deliver this, but I can''t find evidence of it in the crossbow

interrupt loading, intrd, and CMT
One of the things that I''ve been asked to look at lately is interrupt load spreading, and intrd, to improve the network performance of CMT systems. From my read of the code, it looks like intrd only knows about virtual processors. This has major breakage in that all the virtual processors on a single core in a Niagra system share the common interrupt logic. I.e. when the
