Yes, funny it doesn't show up in /var/log/messages, but journalctl shows
it. Here is an equivalent output:

Winbind, still unreliable
Hi there,
I recently posted about problems with winbind resolving names from ADS.
We have an ADS Domain Controller serving the domain MED-DUS and an NT 4
PDC serving the domain MEDOIL.
We want to use a samba server as memberserver in the MED-DUS domain. I
joined the samba server to the MED-DUS domain.
The domain join worked ok. All users (including MEDOIL) are visible.
Next i started winbind.

DHCP-DNS problems
Hello there.
So, I have a Samba AD setup, with DHCP and samba_dlz setup as described in
the wiki.
However, I find that after a while, dynamic DHCPD updates stop working.
The fix is for me to restart the named server.
When in this state, I get log messages like:
DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.52.232 (192.168.60.2) from 8c:be:be:0d:cf:3c
(RedmiNote4-Gj?gur) via 192.168.52.253

Crash using alsa
Hi,
i have compiled astersik using todays cvs. Worked like a charm.
Asterisk runs when the oss module is enabled but crashes badly with alsa.

SPA-941/2 Monitoring
(now that I've remembered which address is subscribed to this list)
Does anyone with one of these phones have any sort of presence
working? I'm looking to monitor the DND state of the phones, if
nothing else. Setting the SIP-B bit enables SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY, but
the "dialog" package is the only one I know of the phone
implementing, and it doesn't fire when DND

Weird samba problems .....
Hi,
some days ago i sent a mail regarding a small samba installation
with periodically dying nmbds. Since the customer didn't call
again regarding these problems I had the opinion that everything is
fine ....
Today the customer called and mentioned that there are additional
problems. He had fixed the nmbd problem everyday by rebooting .... :-)
Now the smbds also start to die. Again no

Weird samba problems / more info
I have a level 10 debug of the smbd/oplock process_local_message problem
but can still not figure out what causes the unknown UDP message command
code. I checked the source but could only see that this is an invalid
opcode command.
Anyone a clue what is happening here ?
Might wrong opcode commands crash samba ?

Frequent crashes - drives me nuts .....
Hi,
i've already setup lots of samba boxes. Mostly large servers
as PDC's or as domain members in large networks. No real problems
far.
A friend asked me to update a small network (3 Win 98 boxes
and two Win 2000 boxes) from samba 2.0.6 on
an ancient version of linux to samba on suse 8.2. The Win98
boxes use a login script to get their shares mounted the Win 2000
boxes have their shares

Hold Pickup
I'm working through my list of features people will expect, and Hold
Pickup is at the top at the moment -- has anyone done any work on this?
We've had some unpleasant experiences with call parking, and everyone
seems to like the Hold Pickup model. If you don't know what I mean by
Hold Pickup, it's sort of a reverse transfer; pick up the nearest phone
and dial

How about <event-definitions> or <event-bindings>?
BTW, I?m still stuck trying to figure out what the available values are for the ?trigger? attribute. Ideally I?d like to

SNOM extension lights programmable, eg. based on asterisk variable setting?
Hi all,
I've programmed on a SNOM function key the destination "**77"
which in my extension plan reprograms/toggles an asterisk DB variable
which I use in the extension plan for some call routing decisions.
I would like the SNOM extension light to permanently
reflect the current toggle status of my application logic/asterisk DB
variable.
Is something like that possible to do in

Snom190 intercom
Hi All...
I'm trying to get the intercom feature working on some snom 190 phones
but having no luck...
As you can see from the SIP trace below (from the called phone),
intercom=true is being appended
to the To: header as per requirements. I've email'd snom a few days ago
but have yet to
get a response.
On my 190s, im running snom190-SIP 3.57v.
I am pulling the config for the

Restoring a deleted imap folder from backup to user Maildir
Hi,
A user accidentally delete a folder from their Maildir (probably while
using Thunderbird). The folder was at Archives/Sent/2015
(/.Archives.Sent.2015 in the Maildir format).
I attempted to copy the folder from a tar backup into the Maildir folder
but the new folder does not show up in Thunderbird or in the Subscribe
option.
I also copied the .Archives.Sent. folder as well. A
