Call Stealing
Hi All, I'd appreciate some help on how to implement "call stealing". That is, where you dial a code to redirect any call on the system to your handset. I'm getting rid of my BRI service and I'm trying to replace the functionality of my existing ISDN2e PBX (Cybergear Gold) with VOIP and Asterisk. On my ISDN PBX, the short-code *46 does this. For example, if I take a call on my living room extension and need to refer to some paperwork, I can go to the study, pick up that extension, dial *46, and the call is transferred to the study where I can continue the call...

Using Asterisk as a TA?
...l PBX here. I'm thinking of an ISDN (BRI) card for connection to the telco, with some analogue converters (Sipura) for existing phones too. I'm pretty sure that the functionality I want is all there (and then some!) but am not clear on one point. At present, I'm using a 6 line Lucent CyberGear Gold, which provides an ISDN TA 'built in', which I can use for backup dialup if the DSL goes down for instance. Is there any way of making the Asterisk box do something similar? i.e. either: a) provide dialout with PPP on one of the ISDN B-channels, to an ISP, to provide IP connectivity...

Unavailable/Withheld identification
Hi, I'm in the process of switching over to Asterisk from Alchemy kit and have hit a stumbling block. We're in the UK and use ISDN. At the moment we don't accept calls from withheld numbers (we just play them a message), but do accept calls from unavailable numbers. There doesn't seem to be any way for me to differentiate between the two number types in Asterisk (chan_CAPI) -

OT: BRI ISDN question
I am going to try and use a passive AVM fritz BRI card for my * setup.. Here is the thing.. I need to order my BRI from BT.. The service that looks to be the one to use is what they call ISDN 2e becasue this has the option to setup hunt groups across multiple ISDN2e lines so I could add another line later to get 4 channels.. According to the BT website in order to use the hunt grouping across
