Re: The LPBN radio station.
what do want the tool to do? you could look at a tool in development called the Frequency Clock -> http://frequencyclock.montevideo.nl its a dev server but you can get the idea, an example of the player output by the system is linked from http://www.radioqualia.net <p>adam On Mon, 28 Oct 2002, Raymond wrote: > Hello: > > I'm starting a radio station on the LPBN. VVDQ : GPS/topo-map software?
...;t upload the good ones from linux (FC1). I'm getting almost hard up enough to break down and run MegaScat for real on some throw-away machine kept offline. Re: The LPBN radio station.
Sorry for my ignorance but what is the LPBN???? I don't think my main stream was running after I mailed you earlier today. It is running right now. Do you have an URL for LPBN??? Re: The LPBN radio station.
Hi: I really liked the music on your 32kbps stream. That is what I listened to. It is very high quality low bandwidth. You must have a recording studio as well as the station. The website for the Linux Public Broadcasting Network is www.lpbn.org I'll create a mailing list for radio on LPBN later tonight so our emails don't disrupte the kind folks at icecast. Just a note, on Sunday I

Raspberry Pi Version of Samba?

Raspberry Pi Version of Samba?
A few months ago, I built a samba 4 DC on a RPi 2B v1.1 with Louis' packages. It's just like a normal Intel cpu based installation with a couple of minor exceptions. I built mine on Raspbian Lite. You'll have to add an additional user and give it sudo privileges. The network setup was like the older Debian 9 by simply adjusting /etc/network/interfaces. To add Louis' repo

Proposal for New R List: Criticism? Comments?
Folks: I would like to propose a new R list, tentatively labeled r-contents. I wish to briefly explain the purpose and format here and solicit public comments, pro or con, so feel free to criticize or suggest a better name and other improvements or alternatives. R presently consists of a suite of about a dozen core recommended packages and several hundred contributed packages comprising

More browsers!
...on one machine, plus my wife's. She's OK with it, but every time I use it, I miss the glorious plethora of browsers that Fedora has gotten me used to. I have epel and rpmfusion (both free and unfree) enabled; is there some other repo I can safely add? -- Beartooth Implacable, Curmudgeonly Codger Learning Linux On the Internet, you can never tell who is a dog -- supposing you care -- but you can tell who has a mind.

Raspberry Pi Version of Samba?
Ha! You're the exception to every rule! That's a sweet setup though! Way cheaper sacrificing a Pi to the god Zeus. LOL. Do go look at XCP-NG, if you're not familiar. Really nice. Raspberry Pi Version of Samba?
I thought I'd chime in here a bit. I'm no RPi guru - but I've used them quite a lot for monitoring installs - stuff like Smokeping/Nagios/OMD/Cacti. They were cheap and seemed attractive low-power devices for client installs - back 5-6 years ago. I'm definitely using regular PC's now. Yes, the hardware is more expensive - but an Optiplex 7010 or the like off of ebay, with a

help with wine and TOPO!
Hello all, The subject line is a little ambitious, although that is my ultimate goal, to be able to run the National Geographic TOPO! program to look at maps of Arizona and California on my laptop using only Linux. I don't even own a copy of Windows, nor do I desire to, so hopefully Wine will be my friend. So far it isn't though. I haven't even got as far as trying to run TOPO! I

Raspberry Pi Version of Samba?
Everybody, In my case I used a RPi as an additional DC for a month or so while making some Samba4 AD improvements to the main DC's. My main DC's run on some nanopc Intel J1800 (cpu) based fanless (about 5" x 5" x 2") box's that by spec sheet draws a maximum of 15W to run on full load. As a DC they never run on full load. These boxes are actually designed to be run 24/7

respond_to API
I''ll probably do my respond_to API rewrite, as discussed here: http://rubyforge.org/pipermail/merb-devel/2007-September/000275.html sometime this week, unless someone has come up with a better API. I''ll also work in http://merb.devjavu.com/ticket/227 at the same time. Any serious objections?
