3rd party call control / CSTA , JTAPI or TAPI interfaces
...ons / agents based
on my application logic.
I know that I may be able to do this using Asterisk Manager API
(have not yet looked at it in any depth) or AGI, but was wondering if
there is or are there any plans to develop - a standard
interface like JTAPI, TAPI (there is an external link on wiki) ,
CSTA etc that an external application can interface with, as part of
the main Asterisk project ?
If the Manager API or AGI is the only way, can anyone comment on
how it compares with API's like JTAPI (on a good implementation like
perhaps Cisco ??) or propiatary API's like ASAI for Avaya Defin...

Configs for Gradwell and inWeb
...offer is for users of AAH, this is a raw Asterisk install I'm working with and their AAH
examples don't work. Gradwell did work fine in the AAH test system.
If anyone has any working configs could you let me see them? (on or offlist is fine).
Thanks in advance.

call center - operators not using phone keys
Hi,
I'm considering setting up a small call centre, but I don't want
operators to need to use their phone keypads. Supposedly, all required
call functions (dialling, answering, transfer, on hold, hang up, etc),
should be done via their scripts (be is a web interface, curses or
whatnot) and not using either a regular phone, nor a gnome-phone type
interface.
Also, all this will be happen

CTI interface(s) for Asterisk? [REALLY LONG MESSAGE - SORRY]
...ry processor runs a

they can do what they like.
This ASAI interface can be accessed directly using some very
lightweight drivers from Avaya (that cost big bucks) or by using and
ASAI-to-TSAPI bridge that converts to/from ECMA CSTA (the formal TSAPI
spec). This bridge normally runs on yet another PC and again costs an
arm and two legs to install, plus other body parts to license and use.
Question:
What would it take to implement a similar (but hopefully more
robust and easier to implement) system for Asterisk? Again I w...

That hangup is Asterisk just dumping out..

Nortel SL1 protocol and *?
I have been investigating more tight integration between * and the Nortel
MICS... it appears that it is at least theoretically possible to have *
store voicemail and log which stations call where.
Both require a T1 card. The T1 card requires either a clocking module or the
6-port fiber module to provide T1 timing. Naturally a T100P or TE405P is
required on the * side.
To log which
