¿can I create more sids?
I have configured my Samba to be a member of a previously existent PDC, that has the user accounts. I have created all the users with 'smbpasswd -a username', but my problem is with the users that already exist at the Linux server: 'user1' is an user that exists in the domain and in the Linux machine, but when I try to access to the linux server the first time, samba reports

Restricting users from certain privileges
Hi: I could not figure out how to restrict users or other users from certain privileges to execute certain commands in FreeBSD/NanoBSD? What I meant is I want to create a NanoBSD image in which there will be an additional user, say 'admin'. I need to give this new user (admin) some privileges to run some root-can-only-execute commands, but not all (ACL similar to the firmwares in adsl

Audio Transmit, speex
Hi, I am transmitting audio over the network by creating an RTP session for each media track. I am using the GSM media format. I'm still having a delay in the transmit if the receivers end is a slow network. Hence i am looking forward to use speex codec to compress the audio further before transmitting. Is there is any one who as implemented it? If so, please send me an example code so

Getting a Side band error when decoding with Jspeex
Hi., I am trying to implement speex. Currently i am capturIng sound and encoding it using Pcm2SpeexAudioInputStream. I am feeding bytes from this stream to Speex2PcmAudioInputStream and trying to read decoded bytes. But here the decoder is giving me an error "saying sideband error" and values after it vary with every message. I donno the reason for this, but I guess it is because

is this correct way of doing ?
I've realized that there is no java api for encoding into vorbis. We got decoding one tough(Vorbis SPI). Currently we got Java Prgm to capture sound from mic and "encoder_example.c" that would take byte stream and encode it into ogg format. So, right now we are in the process of using JNI for calling the C routines using Java. The main aim is to transfer this data over Darwin

java vorbis encoder and examples
I'm currently involved in a project where in we need to record the audio from a mic encode with vorbis, then put it in Ogg container, and then make it as RTP packet and transmit over Darwin Streaming Server. Till now we were using JMF with available codec's, since JMF handles the RTP part life was pretty much easy using it. Now we want to use Ogg Vorbis because of its adv's. So in
