[LLVMdev] powerpc-darwin8 build/test status page
Hi, For anyone who might be interested, I've thrown together a little page to track my builds of llvm and clang, both release 3.0 and svn-trunk, on powerpc-darwin8. http://www.csl.cornell.edu/~fang/sw/llvm/ I'll update the list of logs each time I svn-update and build. It's nowhere as nice as a real buildbot page, but it's better than nothing. 3.0 still has over 20 test failures, while svn-trunk has over 800. A lot of the failures with 3.0 are still reproduci...

[CSL #351425] perfctr-enabled C5 kernel anyone?
Hi all: We have a user who needs to do some work with PAPI, which requires the perfctr patch applied to the kernel proper. Before I do that work here, I wanted to ask the list if anyone knows of a repo where such kernels are available? Also, if anyone has gone down this route and has helpful hints, perspectives, horror stories, etc., I would covet that information also. Cheers and Thanks,

[CSL #301925] centosplus kernel xfs patches and CVE-2006-1855
Hi All, we've run into a problem with the xfs component in the centosplus kernel (2.6.9-34.106.unsupportedsmp) where synchronous writes sometimes fail with EAGAIN. It's causing headaches for DB2 installs and for our database research group. There is a fix reported at: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-xfs&m=110808122904352&w=2 ...that's supposed to take care of

Re: [CSL #329283] centosplus XFS bug?
We're running a mix of ext3 and xfs file systems on CentOS 4 workstations at our site. We have benefitted greatly from the increased performance and fast (crash recovery) reboot times that we get from xfs. We're currently running CentOS kernel 2.6.9-42.0.8.EL and xfs version 0.2-1. We have one host where we've got issues. It's a (very) busy imap server with external scsi hardware

[LLVMdev] llvm/clang test failures on powerpc-darwin8
Hi, I've bootstrapped llvm/clang from svn-trunk on powerpc-darwin8 (g++-4.0.1), and have the following test results to share. Summary below, full log at: http://www.csl.cornell.edu/~fang/sw/llvm/r146586-powerpc-darwin8-results.txt The only edits required were those I posted to llvm-commits yesterday (re: "some missing clang libs"). And I also edited LitConfig.py to point to /sw/bin/bash (4.2) because /bin/bash is missing support for pipefail. Some o...

How to generate .bc file using configure && make on Mac OS X?
This works great. > You can also try using the gllvm wrapper: https://github.com/SRI-CSL/gllvm ; it's quite reliable and easy to use in my experience. Just to be sure. Only one version of bc file will be generated that corresponds to the compiler options provide at configure? The original approach using ld.gold will provide several .bc files that correspond to different stages of...

...hidden away. (It looks like *someone* runs ppc-darwin a buildbot, but not for darwin8.) Knowing what I've learned so far, the effort would be similar, perhaps even duplicate to just trying to fix things directly with g++-4.0.1. Time will tell, I suppose.
