XCP & Openstack
Hey guys, Has anyone had much success with XCP and Open Stack together? I''m in the process of putting together a open stack test cluster and I thought I might be able to use XCP dom0''s for it.. but to be honest it doesn''t look so good. I tried following these instructions on a separate XCP test machine: http://wiki.openstack.org/XenServerDevelopment At a first test

[PATCH] Modpost section mismatch fix
[Sorry if duplicate, one earlier was corrupt] Hi, I got section mismatches reported by modpost in latest build. It got reported for xen_register_pirq and xen_unplug_emulated_devices functions. xen_register_pirq makes reference to acpi_sci_override_gsi in init.data section; marking xen_register_pirq with __init is not feasible since calls are made to it from

Last minute feature for 1.0.0
I'd like to draw people's attention to bug report #143 that I've just submitted. This is a proposal (and patch) to add the ability to store arbitrary metadata associated with a database (rather than with an individual document in the database). The rationale for this feature is explained more fully in the bug report, but briefly I've come across several situations where I

Connect intercom to Asterisk?
Hello I just read this article about a kid in England who built a box with a 3G SIM card: www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1394448/Doorbell-tricks-burglars-thinking-youre-home-invented-schoolboy-Laurence-Rook-13.html When someone rings your intercom, the box will call your cellphone so you can answer just like you were home. I don't know anything about electronics and would like to

Not only this but it allows the resaving of any functions that may have been JIT-optimised during runtime so they can be used immediately next run. This, coincidentally, is something that I was pondering on a way to try to crowbar into the current JIT (was thinking along the lines of parsing relocatable ELF into memory and running a link step manually, then "informing" the JIT about the memory object...) Sounds excellent. James Molloy Graduate Compiler Engineer, ARM Ltd. > -----Original Message----- > Fro...

Which is it? You?re trying to shove a crowbar in where there is no gap: It isn?t hard for an experienced staff. It is one of the reasons our various organizations employ us. Why do you believe this is a stringent requirement? I thought CentOS was the distro targeted at organizations staffed by competent technical professionals. That?s me....

Flash IDE
Hi We have a number offices accommodating 4-6 people each hence it is very important for PBX to be fanless and silent. We have been looking at using IDE flash disks also called DOM. The performance tests we have done so far satisfy our requirements, however we are concerned with DOM durability. We have installed debian and vanilla asterisk on 1GB DOM. All seems to work fine at the moment however

Proposal to allow owning group to edit ACLs.
Hi all, I've been spending some time with customers lately and I've discovered an interesting thing. Many IT departments completely delegate the settings on directory and file ACLs to the users who are interested in the data. For example, on a given share for "Finance", the finance group is given full control on the containing directory (ie. they're allowed to set ACLs on

[LLVMdev] MC-JIT Design
Hi all, As promised, here is the rough design of the upcoming MC-JIT*. Feedback appreciated! (*) To be clear, we are only calling it the MC-JIT until we have finished killing the old one. When I say JIT below, I mean the MC-JIT. I basically am ignoring completely the existing JIT. I will keep things API compatible whenever possible, of course. I see two main design directions for the JIT: --

[PATCH 0/2] Fix hangup after creating checkpoint on Xen.
Hi, The following patch series fixes hangup after creating checkpoint on Xen. The Linux Xen guest can be saved the state to restore later, and also created snapshot like checkpoint via the hypervisor. But, when the snapshot is created for the PV guest, it will hangup. We added ''PMSG_CANCEL'' message and ''cancel'' handler in dev_pm_ops struct in the pm-linux
