FW: CRAN check errors: drake 4.1.0 on r-devel-linux-x86_64-debian-clang
Hello, The CRAN checks for the drake package (4.1.0) fail for r-devel-linux-x86_64-debian-clang. This happened right when crayon 1.3.4 was released, but I suspect the problem is not with crayon or drake, but with base R-devel. I cannot reproduce the error myself, but I have copied a minimal working example (MWE) below that should theoretically isolate the problem. `find_namespaced_functions()` is an internal function in dr...

x86 vs x64
Tried with Ubuntu 9.04 x64 Tomb raider III - major slowdowns and breaks Crayon physics - no Breaks but very slow Counter strike 1.6 lower framerates (not much 3-5 fps of diference) Age of empires II a little slower, can't say if it is a wine regression or x64 fault haven't tried wine 1.20 on x86 yet. Flash 8 - Normal speed? can't tell if it's faster or slower...

...ic and may help others when searching the list) I decided to posit my question directly. Rather than hack like a caveman at my installs of java and other things that fit into the alternatives framwork, I've been reading the man pages and googling, but sometimes I need things spelled out using crayons and small words. If someone has some documentation or insight about using the alternatives framework, including the --slaves options, I would be immensely appreciative. -- Jim Perrin System Administrator - UIT Ft Gordon & US Army Signal Center

(For the arrogant few, substitute the best-known very-well- understood words that you can come up with in between <>. It shouldn't take more then a couple of Crayons to color between the lines.) A minimum of ten years of Internet history has already proven that sharing information is a very positive thing. Yet, on "this" list and with this product, the overwhelming objective by those that have a clue is to _not_ share the intricacies of how to accom...

Stubbing Paperclip calls to Amazon S3 (for Rspec)
Would anyone happen to know how to stub a call to S3 from Paperclip? I''ve searched every where and no one seems to have posted anything about this. I''ve done very little in the way of spec''ing dependencies on external services, so any ideas on how to do this with Paperclip & S3 would be most appreciated. I''m happy with stubbing out Thinking Sphinx - would

The only compiled code in testthat that should be executed is a function that finds a label -- but that happens only after an error occurs. Sorry, but i wasn't sure the best place to post this. I was looking for some forums but it doesn't look like Xiph has any official ones. Anyways, i heard about this MT9 think a while ago and i thought it would be awesome if FLAC, Vorbis, and all could implement something like this. http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2008/may/27/news.seanmichaels http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MT9 In
