My main interest in this question is that I proceeded to correct for spatial autocorrelation (both within transects and overall) following the procedures suggest by Crawley 2002 for linear models e.g. (GUAMAC = a species, CRAS = soil water retention capacity, TRANSECTO = transect) > model1<-gls(GUAMAC ~ CRAS) > model2<-lme(GUAMAC ~ CRAS, random = ~ 1 | TRANSECTO) > model3<-lme(GUAMAC ~ CRAS, random = GUAMAC ~ CRAS | TRANSECTO) > model4<-lme(GUAMAC ~ CRAS, random = GUAMAC ~ CRAS -1 | TRANSECTO...

Why is docecot called dovecot? Actually, nobody likes these "rats with wings". ;-) Timo, can we know that or is it a secret? Sven

Create time changing by itself?
Are there some known problems related to ctime changing by itself? I didn't find anything with google at least. tar seems to be complaining about it all the time: [cras@hurina] ~% tar cf test.tar /mnt/cygwin/home tar: Removing leading `/' from member names tar: /mnt/cygwin/home/Timo Sirainen/xxx/xxxxx.xxx: file changed as we read it This happens with my Debian/unstable (samba 2.999+3.0.alpha20-4, 2.4.19 kernel) but also with default Redhat 8 installation. Problem Compiling Dovecot-LDA
I'm trying to setup Dovecot-LDA. I grab dovecot beta8 and compiled it with the following options. $ ./configure --without-deliver --with-mysql $ make # make install It builds fine, and I have it running fine now. I then tried to build dovecot-lda from cvs, with the following. $ ./configure --with-dovecot=../dovecot-1.0.beta8/ $ make and it then fails with the following gcc -std=gnu99 -g

I think Timo wrote that patch for my colleage Cor, and then accidentily checked it in with: ---------------------------- revision 1.100 date: 2005-06-09 14:31:43 +0000; author: cras; state: Exp; lines: +22 -4 Replaced ':' and ',' character usages with #defines, so they can be changed easily if needed. The patch is 'broken' anyway; it tries to use rename() to move the old control files to the new location, but that doesn't quite work between diffe...

v1.1.alpha1 released
...to www.dovecot.org news). The next one probably will be v1.1.rc1. I've been stress testing the code a lot and I've also been using it myself for almost a year, so I think this release should actually be quite stable and usable. But since I haven't tested everything, there might be some crashes and misbehaving commands. So this release should now have all the major features that I intend to add to v1.1 (except for dbox rewrite, see below). Some smaller features will still be added. The rest of the major features in my previous v1.1 list will go to v1.2. While v1.1 is getting stabiliz...
