courtesy message calling mobile phones
Hi everybody. Just noticed that when calling a mobile phone, Asterisk doesn't bridge the voice message by telco if mobile is unreachable, but keeps on ringing till it receives a hangup signal. I think this is due to the fact that the message is played without the call has been answered, but I'm wondering if there's some way to let Asterisk realize it. All I see in the CLI is the line

R: Re: courtesy message calling mobile phones
Calling any unreachable mobile from Fastweb or Telecom PSTN I don't get any courtesy message. The same happens when calling an inexistent number. I'm configuring two PBX's, connected to two different phone lines, both behave this way. Perhaps there's some missing zapata parameter? 1.8.0 beta2: courtesy tone being played to callee
Hi. I am using *1 in features to initiate a mix monitor recording. However, when I hit *1, the callee hears the courtesy tone which I have, so I know when the recording is started or stopped. This is a problem, particularly in automated system where the beep is mistaken for a tone or other problems. Should I file a bug, or is this going to be fixed? -- Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The...

UK Asterisk user, please pick up the white courtesy phone
So, I have submitted my configurations as public samples, and I should have expected this situation to arise. I changed all the relevant "private" configuration data in my samples to obfuscate or alter IP addresses, passwords, etc. However, I left my email address in voicemail.conf... Let me tell you, it took THREE messages sent by a distinctly British-sounding gentleman leaving

Possible to get "Courtesy Tone" on attended transfer?
Hi All, Is there any way to provide the user receiving an attended transfer with a tone or other audible indication that the transfer is completed (i.e. Party A calls Party B, Party B announces the call while transferring to Party C, Party C hears tone when Party B completes the transfer so that they know that they are now talking to Party A instead of Party B)? I know this is possible when

WINS question
Morning everyone. Just have a quick question regarding WINS on samba-3.0.3. Running FreeBSD 4.9, with samba-3.0.3 built from the ports tree. The only thing I needed from this particular server at this time, was it to function as a WINS server for our company. I went ahead and did the basics, as setting the netbios name as well as saying 'yes' to wins support. However, I cannot tell if

[LLVMdev] OCAML and ocamldoc requirements on building andinstalling LLVM
...tool in order to use LLVM. Its really just a matter of adding a switch to configure and conditionally building ocaml stuff based on its setting. I really hate the bash configure script and really dont want to do it. Really it should be on the OCAML writers list of finishing things to do out of courtesy for other users. Aaron

Is it sufficient to include the MIT copyright notices from http://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/compiler-rt/trunk/LICENSE.TXT / http://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/libcxx/trunk/LICENSE.TXT for programs compiled with LLVM? (Probably including the respective CREDITS.TXT files as a courtesy, although there doesn't seem to be any actual requirements to indicate that it's for Compiler-RT/libc++) And finally, could it be possible to change the licensing (again) so that no notices would be required? - Tor Gunnar

X clients die after a while
The following message is a courtesy copy of an article that has been posted to comp.security.ssh as well. I have sshd (from openssh 1.2.3) running on my home machine (Debian GNU/Linux 2.2), and when I'm at work I like to start an Emacs like this: ssh -f -l offby1 my.home.machine.net emacs (At work I use ssh 1.2.27 from...

Reading Version 4 .sdd files
...read.S which issued the message "not an S object". I then checked the Import/Export manual which seemed to indicate that data.restore might do the trick. Alas, it seems that function is trying to interpret the name of the data frame as an S mode or some such thing. Searched the archives (courtesy of Dr. Baron) and found this from Dr. Ripley: ".sdd files from S-PLUS 6.0 are S4 dumps, and will not work." This was written in 2002, is it still accurate? Right now my only obvious course of action is to get on a machine that has S+, read in this file and dump it in a more useful format....

Merge?
...announced. May I ask if there will be or could be "merge" function for data frames? I believe it would be very nice if this were "centrally" implemented (with regard to my humble steps to writing such a function and the related error and other precautions). I know from VR2R.pdf (courtesy Profs. Venables and Ripley) that the "Functions crosstabs [...], by and merge [...] do not exist in R.", but perhaps someone can suggest such a merge function, just as a "by" function was suggested by Peter Dalgaard on 31. January? Thank You, Ralf Herold # Charite Campus Virch...
