Problems with NUT 2.7.2 on CentOS 7 and using the Mini-Box OpenUPS
...of hook that calls 'upsdrvctl shutdown' near the end of the shutdown process. > I?ve looked at ?ignorelb?. As far as I can tell the OpenUPS never sends LB; which may be a calibration issue; but there is no documentation to tell you how this should work. Their documentation talks about ?coulomb counters? and ?fuel gauges? but says nothing about how it?s implemented! And I?m waiting for a response from their support desk. > > You say 'NUT takes a conservative approach to USB HID drivers?. I get a few errors and I don?t know if they matter. Like : What I meant is that usbhid-ups...

Megatec and Batteries
Hi to all, I am new on the lists but using nut on megatec for last two and half years. Looking at archives I saw that there is a lot of people confused about battery voltage and I want to help them to clear out some stuff in their heads. This story is based on my experience with UPS devices from 600VA to 20kVA, from single phase systems to three phase systems, with battery packs from 1

Problems with NUT 2.7.2 on CentOS 7 and using the Mini-Box OpenUPS
I?m a new user of NUT and the OpenUPS - in the past I?ve used APC hardware and apcupsd on Centos 6. I?ve built NUT 2.7.2 from source but used the OpenUPS HID driver v0.4 that?s in github. I?m using firmware version 1.5 on the openups which is the latest published version; I?ve also tried 1.7 which Mini-box sent to me but reverted to the published version. Their support seems a bit slow! I?ve got

[PATCH 0/3] OpenUPS updates
...a zero offset error - the output voltage, for example, reads 80mV higher than it actually is (as measured on the capacitors themselves) equivalent to an error of 5. The effect of these errors, when combined, is to inflate the power by about 5 to 10%. I've chosen not to fix this so far as the coulomb counter is likely subject to the same error when calculating the runtime. The patches attached to this message: 1. Avoid reading non-feature usages. usbhid-ups does not request input or output reports, it always uses the feature type for all report requests. Asking for a report ID for an...
