Hi
I'm having huge problems with OpenSSH 3.0.1p1, compiled with OpenSSL 0.9.6b 9 Jul 2001 and running with prngd_0.9.23, it disconnects unexpectedly during client session due to bad packet length and corruped MAC on input, according to debug anyway.
What can cause this kinds of errors? I've verified that both se9104/server and

Any alternative to Single User Mode
Hi,
I am working on Centos6.6 on a VirtualBox on Windows Host. Today I started
to have booting issues in the OS. It won't get past the loading screen. I
checked and found that the files related to the user "cloudera" on the
system were not accessible. Only the files related to root were accessible.
This is why I was am not able to do a single user login but an emergency
login was

Any alternative to Single User Mode
I actually opened the Virtual Disk Image (.vdi) on http://www.vmxray.com/.
I could see that despite my disk being of 100GB only ~65GB was being shown.
All the stuff related ot the local user was not visible at all.
After I restarted my VM, the OS gets stuck here (

login it was stuck there. But the emergency mode worked alright.

Modify and backup winbindd_idmap.tdb
Hello list,
Is there a possibility to add entries to the winbindd_idmap.tdb manually?
I know I can use tdbdump to see the entries, but is there a chance to modify?
My problem is I have to map some uid to some Windows SID without using LDAP. On the other hand new user not having any uid in linux should map to the range of uid I defind by using
idmap uid = 10000-20000
2nd Question:
Is it

sam-fs on zfs-pool
Hi list,
I''ve did some tests and run into a very strange situation..
I created a zvol using "zfs create -V" and initialize an sam-filesystem
on this zvol.
After that I restored some testdata using a dump from another system.
So far so good.
After some big troubles I found out that releasing files in the
sam-filesystem doesn''t create space on the underlying zvol.

denial of service attack on login
Hi,
I''ve been writing a login application to utilize the features of both PAM
and libpwdb. Not surprisingly, this has meant looking at some old code..
The following denial of service attack seems to work quite nicely on my
ancient Red Hat 3.0.3 system with the standard login application. Perhaps
this is not a problem with 4.0? Does anyone know about other distributions?
