Corrent security mode settings to allow mess-windows XP behave!
I have a Linux samba server (CentOS 5.4, Samba 3.0.33) that is serving
two printers, anonymously, one read-only file share, anonymously, and
two username/password-protected writable shares. Right now, I have the
security mode set to 'share'. The printers and the read-only share are
handled right, but when I try to connect to one of the writable shared,
mess-windows only asked for a

Understanding modularity
Hi,
I've read the Fedora modularity docs but am still missing the big picture
somehow. Hope someone can clarify things for me.
What I'm most wondering: does modularity have any influence on the RPM
packages at all. I mean, is there anything inside a RPM package which says
it belongs to a module or it has a special function in a module?

Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge much slower with 0.9.16
RA2:YR is a 2D game - I think it probably uses DirectDraw. It runs
slower with 0.9.16 and now the in game cursor flickers. Besides minor
audio problems it ran fine in 0.9.15.
I tried setting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D\DirectDrawRenderer to
"gdi". It made no difference. Is that the corrent way to turn off the
new DirectDraw changes?

Comparing snapshots?
Hi,
for a backup program I have to find all differing files
(including metadata) in two snapshots taken from the same
subvolume.
Having looked at the find-new command I thought about this
process:
1. Get the two transids when the two snapshots were created.
2. Query modifications to the original subvolume between the two
transids.
Is the general process corrent or have I overseen

Centos/RHEL 64bit and ARM questions
I am digging a bit into RHEL 7 roadmap info.
It seems there are statements that RHEL 7 will only support 64 bit. Is
this corrent, and what for Centos 7?
Also the ARM info I found was the target is ARMv8 which is 64 bit, not
the ARMv7 which is 32bit.
Any clearification is appreciated.

summary of the effects after logistic regression model
Dear all, my aim is to estimate the efficacy over time of a treatment for
headache prevention. Data consist of long sequences of repeated binary
outcomes (1 if the subject has at least 1 episode of headache , 0
otherwise) on subjects randomized to placebo or treatment.
I have fit a logistic regression model with Huber-White cluster sandwich
covariance estimator.
I have put in the model the

...difficulties configuring it correctly.
I use postgresql to store the user information. The passwords are
stored SHA1 encrypted. Now I have the problem that dovecot isn't
accepting the user. In dovecot-pgsql.conf I defined
default_pass_scheme = SHA1
I am not quite sure about whether this is corrents, since it is not
mentioned in the documentation, but it is mentioned in the wiki (under
the name SHA) and it doesn't produce an error (as specifying SHA
does). So I assume this is correct.
But when I log in with a user I always geht the following log output:
