RStudio package maintenance moved to Copr
Many thanks I?aki. Will Quarto get pulled in from your COPR automatically as well or do we need to specifically install it before/after? Also is it worth updating the "add ons" section at https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/fedora/ as well? Tim On 24/09/2024 12:51, I?aki Ucar wrote: > Dear all, > > With the latest release of RStud...

RStudio package maintenance moved to Copr
...we can no longer maintain RStudio packages in the official Fedora repositories, because the necessary Electron component is missing. RStudio is supported in the official repositories up to v2024.04.2+764 and F40, and has been retired from newer branches. Consequently, I moved maintenance to Fedora Copr, where I have more flexibility. You can find an up-to-date Electron build in the iucar/rstudio Copr repository [1], available for F39 and later, for x86_64 and aarch64. Installation instructions are provided there. Upgrading from the official repos to this new one should work without issue. [1] ht...

installing from copr after update
I've just updated to R 4.0.2 but am unsure how to get packages from the COPR repository to update to those built under the new version of R. FI - I'm not currently using CoprManager just trying to update/install from terminal. Regards Tim [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

R 4.0 for CentOS 7
...uld create a CentOS 8 docker container and install R in that? I am not planning to upgrade the system to CentOS 8. Of course, you can do that. With podman it's even easier. But then I'd use Fedora as the base image instead, because you'll enjoy binary installations for most of CRAN via Copr [1]. You even have a docker image ready to go [2]. CentOS for musicians?
Hello, still searching but didn't find very precise answers yet, is there a computer-aided musical creation -oriented flavor of CentOS (like the Ubuntu Studio)? Or would it be about gathering stuff from different repos and setting up everything by hand? A repository that would provide low-latency kernel (realtime one?): I've found the CentOS-RT from the CERN + (1)). Specific tools (from

More recent libvirt builds for CentOS 7
...for CentOS 7 that include support for the xl (modern Xen) toolstack? I tried to build libvirt from the SRPM, which succeeded, however, without the mentioned Xen parts. I have also found two repos from people who provide upstream libvirt builds for CentOS 7, again, without the Xen parts. - https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/jmliger/virt7-upstream/ and - https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:aevseev/libvirt Within the CentOS virtualization SIG builds for Xen there is a 1.3.x build of libvirt that includes support for the modern Xen toolstack. Would it be possible to inline this into...
