Hello, i use Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant) with Samba Version 3.0.10-1.4E. Samba are running as PDC. If i save a 160 KB Excel file (Excel 2000 and XP) on a Windows 2000 Client, then samba hangs. OK before i start, this was something i was just testing while everyone was in training this afternoon. I have never had to deal with subnets before as we only have a few users, but decided to do a little bit of messing around to gain some experience. Some use Samba specific variables like %u and %m. How do you run a script manually to use these variables?
