GPS-enabled cell phone/PDA
I would like to capture the lat/lon coordinates from a GPS-enabled cell phone or PDA. Is this possible? Must I subscribe to this information from the cellphone network provider, or can I capture it without charge? What devices will broadcast the coordinates? Is there a device that will broadcast its position inband that can be captured by Asterisk? Can an SMS message include coordinates?

"Untrusted application launcher (desktop launchers)"
I am having this problem on Ubuntu 18.04 -- I manage a batch of desktop machines with some convience desktop launchers, which gnome3 insists are "untrusted". With some general websearching reveals that this is a *GNome3* so-called "security" issue (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/commit/1630f5348). I found a thread on the CentOS Forums (I don't have an account there...

...cking S3 generic/method consistency ... WARNING window: function(x, ...) window.chron: function(data, day1, hour1, day2, hour2, ...) See section 'Generic functions and methods' of the 'Writing R Extensions' manual. I have looked and can not figure it out. This function is for convience. What can I do to fix this? This is the first time I have tried this, so be easy, and explain it to to me and I will try and understand. I'm tired maybe that's it window.chron <- function(data, day1,hour1,day2,hour2){ window(data, start=chron(day1, hour1), end=chron(day2, hour2)) }...

PATCH: Kerberos password authentication w/o KDC verification
Folks: We use an old AFS cell with Kerberos 4. Our use of Kerberos 4 is fairly limited; we have never needed to implement rcmd host principals for most of our systems. Indeed, given that Kerberos 4 strips off the domain name portion of a hostname when determining the rcmd instance, we would not be able to do this, since we do have duplicate hostnames in multiple subdomains. For AFS

work on OggFile/OggStream
I've rehashed the model for the libogg2 convience library, seperating it into two libraries in the effort to allow 3rd party media frameworks to more directly utilize the functions provided by OggFile, while still providing VorbisFile-like convience for the most common uses of Ogg encoders/decoders. In this new model, liboggstream provides the...

AR: Quoting in Join Model Test
...My adapter is returning it as an unquoted integer. What I can''t figure out is why this is expected to be quoted. Since these little things are sometimes symptomatic of a larger, more fundamental problem with the way I''m handling things, I thought I should ask. For your convience, here is the test in question: def test_has_many_with_piggyback assert_equal "2", categories(:sti_test).authors.first.post_id end -Derrick Spell "Perl''s grammar can not be reduced to BNF. Differential Equations Using R?
...m in order to solve differential equations. I have been nominated to find out if there exists such a program for "R". Hence the question: Does there exist a program, which has been written for R, where differential equations can be solved numerically? If there is please contact me at your convience on where I may find this program. If there is not such a program would it be simpler to write such a program or to just learn how to use MatLab or another math program? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your time. Regards, Nick Fruge -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-...

Ambisonics und OggPCM
...ar to me releasing Speex v2.0 - it is not my right, because you used and promoted the name first, and that makes it yours. If I were to fork Speex I would be legally required to change the name of my fork. One thing you have missed, prehaps, is that the purpose of OggPCM is to work with my Ogg convience library, I already have code which uses the earlier draft of OggPCM, and will release my library with or without Xiph in a matter of days. You want to consider me a dangerous threat? View me as enemy? While I don't view myself as such, or you as such, your beliefs to this effect will lead...

Re: Continuing the split (was: Let's split up the libguestfs git repo and tarballs)
...just exposing some libguestfs APIs / functionality in a slightly more convenient way than guestfish, whether in C or OCaml. v2v & p2v are full applications in their own right & have split already which makes alot of sense. The other one here that feels like an application, as opposed to a convience wrapper, is virt-dib. So I think perhaps that one could be a separate repo. Everything else feels fine to be bundled as one to me. > libguestfs.git would end up containing only the daemon, core library > and language bindings. Issue with imap folder structure
...one? > What is wrong with my setup? Well, you mean "Sent" and "INBOX.Sent", which latter is a mailbox named "Sent" as subfolder of INBOX, then they are not duplicates, but have the same name. Eventually, your mail client strips the leading "INBOX" for convience for the user. Possibly, you had mailbox prefix configured in your setup ago, which hid all mailboxes except "INBOX" and below. Perhaps you have entries in your subscriptions files, which are no longer available, because of the other setup. - -- Steffen Kaiser -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE...

Consistency regarding compiled Cortado 0.6.0 source and the official binary
...en providing copies of the officially-released Cortado applet jar file (the cortado-ov-stripped-0.6.0.jar that has such internal file names as a.class and b.class) to others, my assumption has been that the cortado-0.6.0.tar.gz file can be treated as the corresponding source code for the purpose of convience and license compliance. Is this correct? (For all one knows, the internal differences between the two compiled instances of the Cortado applet could be due to such things as different versions of compilers or different compilation settings.) --Richard

rsync on Interix WSU 3.5
I'm need to run a rsync server on a Quad 2.8Ghz , 1Gb RAM, 1Terabyte of disk.. Dell 725N - it's a storage, NAS type box running W2K, RAID 5 etc.. A real beast.. :-) The Unix guys want to backup their boxes to this beast using rsync clients. It would seem that Windows Services for Unix (WSU) is the key.. Current version gives me a fully compliant POSIX environment, not reliant on
