[LLVMdev] LLVM to Gcc tree convertor
I know the current gcc based frontend converts llvm trees to gcc trees.
Is anyone working on a backend for llvm that generates gcc trees ?
It would at least be intresting since you can run all the llvm passes
and all the gcc passes. I'm not sure at what level you would want to
generate generic ssa ??

thoughts about MP3 -> OGG convertor
Everyone here already knows that convertings mp3s to oggs is a very bad
idea. However many users don't care and will find a way to convert anyway.
I propose that there be a tool to automatically do it that comes with
vorbis-tools, that way it can automatically tag it as SOURCE=MP3 (or
whatever). Of course we should have it emit a warning that it is bad to
convert from mp3 to ogg but users

I''ve been googling around, and have found a lot of tools to convert
images to the right pixel size - anyone have a good command line based
one for linux?
Also, how do you issue a command from a rails app?
Thanks,

uncompressed FLAC
...contributors accept
that FLAC is bit perfect. It is easy to propose
mechanisms to explain why people hear
differences. (The most obvious one is that
there are no differences to hear. Another is
that the extra computation load on the
processor places noise onto the power rails,
affecting the D/A convertors.) However,
without proper double blind testing, there is
little point.

virt-v2v slow when running inside the VM
Hi,
I'm trying to create a clone of a physical Window VM using p2v.
My goal is to create a cloning tools VM that has libguestfs tools installed
and acts as the convertor.
VM conversion works just fine but the conversion rate is significantly
slow(1/3) when running inside the VM compared to when the v2v is run on the
same bare-metal host.
On the host:

gsm codec, very poor quality.
Currently I am creating .wav files and then converting them via SOX to .au
file format, then running them through a gsm codec convertor which all works
fine except that it sounds like the recording was made with a sock in my
mouth !!
Could someone in * land help me to get a good sound quality with gsm format.
Thanks in advance.

DirectShow Theora Issue with RGB24
Hi,
I hope you can help, I am in need of some assistance with the DirectShow
filters for Theora.
I have successfully created a working capture graph using OGG / Vorbis /
Theora, however, when I add a Sample Grabber Directshow filter between the
FFDShow decoder and Theora Encoder, this results in the video file being
mirrored vertically. I have noticed that the original CaptureGraph was

I was wondering if anyone could help me with some graphics issues please.
I'm processing R in batch on redhat6.2 with some graphics to be imported

graphics. win.metafile doesn't seem to be supported on redhat which gives
me postscript. postscript is ideal but doesn't contain a preview so I

sip to oh323 converter converts sip uri to h.323 number and not h.323 url
Hello,
i have set up an asterisk sip to h.323 convertor, it is working OK. The only problem i have is this :
For example when my identity is 12345@some.domain , and i call a sip number from a sip phone, the called party sees my identity (caller identity) as 12345@some.domain, which is the way it has to be.
But when i call from the same phone with the same identity a h.323 endpoint (asterisk

Last, I might be traveling to Europe (from US) & want to tow along

Why Aastra uses 48V whereas other IP Phones use much less, i.e. 5-12V
Hi,
Why Aastra phones use more electricity, i.e. 48VDC whereas other phones use
much less, e.g. Grandstream and Linksys both use only 5VDC. I first thought
it was because of PoE, but the ones with 5VDC also run fine on PoE. What is
the difference in power consumption then?

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Proposal for Adding SPIRV Target
Here is the revised proposal for the LLVM/SPIR-V converter. Please comment. Thanks.
Proposal of Adding SPIRV Target
Background
SPIR-V is a portable binary format for OpenCL kernels and GLSL shaders. A typical use case of SPIR-V is as follows:
1. An application developer uses Clang to compile an OpenCL kernel source code to a SPIR-V binary which is common for all OpenCL platforms.
