They are special characters in the font though (not bitmaps), and the symbols show up in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contract_bridge so it would seem that the font (Arial, I think) does have the symbols. Does anyone know how I can have the symbols show up? I'm running wine-1.0.1 on Ubuntu 8.10 and have the msttcorefonts package installed.
