As the site has grown in popularity, it hasn't scaled well, and maintaining the database was eating most of the resources on the server. multiline string continuation
Dear R experts, I wonder how can one input a string variable in multiple lines in a R script. I've seen solution to the command line continuation in the non-string situation (just continute at the new line). However, that doesn't work for strings because the new line character, "\n", is included in the resultant string. For example, if I type the following in a script:

Delorme Street Atlas 8 and ISO images
Being lazy, I'd just as soon not be swapping CDs in and out of the CD drive to use Street Atlas 8. So I slurped the SA 8 data CD into an ISO image, which I then mount as a loopback device. I created a symlink in ~/.wine/dosdevices, s: (and it took me a while to get the syntax for that right :-). winefile and fn.exe (http://www.charlescurley.com/fn.html) have no problems with the iso image. Samba problems ( still after using diagnose.txt )
...ed the SBIN directory to sbin ( instead of bin ) /usr/local/sbin/smbd -D /usr/local/sbin/nmbd -D I also tried using inetd ( with same results ) I followed the suggested test method as outlined in DIAGNOSING.txt with the following results. Test 1: Passed Test 2: Passed Test 3: Failed ( Continuted with testing ) Test 4: Passed Test 5: Passed Test 6: Passed I can use smbclient to connect to shares on by NT4.0 Workstation ( with plain passwords ).
