Call Pickup with 1.6.2.1 and Snom
Hi,
I've used various patches with asterisk 1.4 to have support for call
pickup and notification with good results.
Now I'm trying vanilla 1.6.2 with its official support for "dialog-info
+xml" notifications with no success. This is what i'm doing:
- Phone A has a key configured as type "extension" pointing to Phone B.
- In sip.conf I added

Ahem, no: i meant adding to winbind nss library the support for the
'shadow' context, so i suppose this means adding some sort of

get the bug context
Hi R-users,
How to get a bug contex?
My R code ran there for several hours, but a bug crashed it, printing
such message like "Error: subscript out of bounds". I want to use
browser() to catch the bug, but I don't know which loop caused the bug
(there are many loops in the code). I even don't know which line of
code caused the bug. Is there any utility or something in R which

Problem: no such extension 'xx' in context 'default'
Hi Guys,
I am not so familiar with asterisk and hope to get help here. I am having now some stupid errors. My goal for the first, is to create a simple pbx with different context.
As long as I use only the contex 'default' everything seems to work perfect. Now I tried to add another context i.e 'internal' and the asterisk is complaining

Cisco 2600 and ASTERISK and calling out
You have no dial-peer telling the router what to do with the outbound call.

[PATCH net] vhost_net: correctly check tx avail during rx busy polling
We check tx avail through vhost_enable_notify() in the past which is
wrong since it only checks whether or not guest has filled more
available buffer since last avail idx synchronization which was just
done by vhost_vq_avail_empty() before. What we really want is checking
pending buffers in the avail ring. Fix this by calling
vhost_vq_avail_empty() instead.

Suggestion for wiki page edit; "OtherSpins"
...Will you please explain this?
We have noticed that a lot of people are offering something that they call
CentOS. But this something is in reality only based on CentOS and it has
been modified by the people making it available."
Suggestion 1: Change "Genuine" to "Modified" (contexed accordingly)
Suggestion 2: Rework the tone of this wiki article to be less disdainful.
My personal view is that phrases like "We are not mind readers", "we cannot
provide you with support" are not friendly and would put some people off
from asking for help again. (A similar vie...

Kernel lockup (kjournald?)
I am getting an odd situation when backing up a number of ext3 filesystems
and was wondering if it could be caused by journalling. Over the space of
a minute the load average will jump from 2 to over 40 and the system will
be unresponsive for anywhere from 8 to 25 minutes. I am going to be trying
a number of things, but was wondering if anyone could see the reason for
the high load given the

DAHDI not detecting RINGING Status on the Channel
I am using an 8 port tdm card and also I implemented a dialer using a
.call file generator. As you know on the .call you specify the channel to
call and then the contex/extension/priority to let dial plan continue when
the call is bridge.
My actual problem is that when the call process starts, asterisk (DAHDI)
sets the channel as answered when the truth is that on the other side the
channel has

Since ARA is not available in stable 1.0.9 I was wondering how to use
externpass in voicemail.conf to update mysql based voicemail password.
My question is, can externpass send parameters to the called file?
I couldnt find any examples on the wiki so, does anybody have any tips on
this?
Thx !

debugging asterisk configuration
I'm trying to create a new contex for incomming calls from certain
trunks. My problem is this calls are not checked through ext-did (for
incoming routing). The calls from standard trunks are filtered
correctly but these ones are not. Is there some way to debug what
file/line is being executed by asterisk? My custom context is this:
[from-pstn-nofax]
include => from-pstn-custominclude
