Guus Sliepen, I am working in a zeroconf setup for tinc called tzk, that could allow you to make this easily https://github.com/NebTex/tzk/ it will make better readme this weekend but you need a public machine with a public domain - subdomain pointed to it, the script will install tinc, consul (that is used for coordinate the vpn), and caddy a small reverse proxy for expose consul to the public internet with TLS support. after the installation ends it will print another command that you can run over your nodes to connect to the vpn this is the command that you should run in your master...

Stream Phone Call: Sound on Consule OSS to Helix server?
Hello, I am working on a project for a client of mine, that involves streaming an incoming phone call. I have a lot of experience with Linux, but something that I have never attempted is using sound under Linux, as all my machines have been servers. Here is the plan, is it doable? The client (a minor league baseball team) calls in to a iconnecthere.com phone number, and Asterisk answers (this

Mr. Chen told Media that CCP has "thousands" of secret agents in Australia
...ed on Tiananmen Square and 80 million people killed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since it came to power, and also to celebrate an anticipation of collapse of CCP--the last large communist regime in the world today. One of the feature speakers is a senior Chinese diplomat from the Chinese Consulate in Sydney, Mr. Chen Yonglin, who made his first public appearance at a June 4th Commemoration rally since he and his family had left the Chinese Consulate a week ago to defect. Mr. Chen told the rally that he went to defect for fear of persecution since had become disillusioned and could no...

Question about Asterisk versions (newbie)
Hello, I would like to consulate with you guys. I'm setting up an Asterisk server on Debian. The problem is that Rhino drivers are only compatible with Zaptel 1.2. By default debian stable offers asterisk 1.2 and zaptel 1.2, and that suits our needs. Is there a bleeding need to use latest version of asterisk? I have man...

new install of 5.1 with KVM-over-IP - can't install with GUI - need assistance
...is! I am looking for a solution such as a parameter that I can pass to the boot sequence (vga=nommconf or something like that) so that it won't do the probing for the VGA and just let me go about my business. Mind you that this is a problem both with DELL PowerEdge 1950iii with DRAC5 remote consule as well as with just plain PCs that use ATEN KVM 9116. Once the probe understand that we don't use a monitor it prompts the 'can't use the GUI'. Any pointers about this? [OT]multi-master DNS
Hello all, We have quite a bit of environment on "cloud". We are using our own domain names. For this purpouse we stood up a BIND9 DNS instance on Centos 7. And, this being the cloud, we enabled key based dynamic DNS for instances to register themselves when they are spun-up. We have a single master and multiple slaves. all is well, untill mater goes down and we need to spin-up

Problem with rc10
...us=deferred (temporary failure) I removed the "-d test" from the Postfix main.cf and the problem went away. So, how do I fix the "From_" lines? ISSUE #2 After upgrading, messages cannot be moved from the INBOX to a folder. Thunderbird claims there was an internal error and to consule the server logs, but I see nothing in the dovecot logs that would indicate what's going on. For example, I attempted to move a message into my Trash folder which did not currently have any index files. Here is a Solaris truss output of that attempt: poll(0x000B4C98, 2, 999) = 0 poll(0x000...

Complex abilities and scoping of records
I have the following scenario. Users have various levels of ability. They can only view and edit their own records (their profile). Their managers can only view and edit their employees records. The regional managers can view and edit only the people in their regions and the corporate headquarters can view and edit all records. There are multiple regions so somebody can be the manager of the

[OT]multi-master DNS
Bind does not have a method to do multi-master replication. All updates must be done via an intermediary service (database). In our case, we've used containers and Consul for providing a highly available DNS service. A container will fire up and race for the master lock. It will dump the contents of the database into its named configurations and assuming it has the lock will assume the IP address of the master. Others just come up as slaves. If the master lock i...

Win95 and Win98 - hanging while shutdown
Hallo! I have a small problem. As I installed a Samba-server at one of our customers (office of foreign affairs, AKA consulate), Win98r2 does not want to shut down, the system hangs. It looks like if Windows "forgets" to disconnect the services before shutdown (at least the system hangs - over night (!!) and according to logfiles the workstation has not made any disconnect). As I disconnect manually (i.e. log...

BSOD with ESS under win2000
I have had a visit from our windows buddy the BSOD twice in one day when running R1.6.2 under ESS5.1.24 on a win2000 platform. I wasn't doing anything special, just moving or resizing the emacs window, although I did have 4 or 5 emacs windows open at the time. Has anyone else observed this problem? Thanks, Darryl.

After 5.1 update $releasever is still 5
I have performed the 5.1 update via the 5 repo on a couple of systems. I then went to switch these systems to my new local repo using ther $releasever variable. It still has the value of 5, not 5.1 Where is this set? Why was it not changed to 5.1? On the one clean install from the 5.1 isos, $releasever is at 5.1 I think.

COBOL
Just curious, maybe some old timers could help me out. I am working with a company that is migrating 20 years of Mainframe Software Development to Unix, HPUX. How much harder would it be to go to Linux, Centos Linux? Also, anyone have any experience with Fujitsu Cobol on Centos? The Fujitsu people only support Red Hat, and said I'd be on my own with Centos. In other words if it works,
