I had a serious problem with all my WinXP (some SP1, some SP2) comps printing over samba to a printer (both, Samba and printer on Kubuntu (Dapper)). It printed, but it took easily 20 minutes to get the printout. The file sharing worked very fast and there were no error messages in Samba logs.
