3.8.1p1 option "permitopennet" added
Hello, I send you a small patch about a "new" option called "permitopennet". The behaviour is the same as "permitopen" except the accept/deny statement is based on this syntax : "netblock/netmask:porta[-portb]". Moreover, I also added some useful log lines : the uid is logged while doing port forwarding. Sample conf :

wishlist addition?
...the man page or in any of the docs online. Basically, I'd like to see an option to modify --delete that deletes only destination files that have been missing for over Y days. For backups, this provides a time window on the receiving directory where you can retrieve them before they're consigned to oblivion. So basically it would work src:/foo/bar/X -> dest:/foo/bar/X Then src:/foo/bar/X gets deleted. In normal --delete mode, the next time rsync runs, dest:/foo/bar/X gets deleted, too. What I'd like to do is delay that deletion until src:/foo/bar/X has been gone for Y days....

[LLVMdev] bending the limits of tbaa metadata
...t-distinct-bd"} !2 = metadata !{metadata !"c", metadata !3, i64 0} !3 = metadata !{metadata !"root-distinct-cd"} !4 = metadata !{metadata !"d2", metadata !3, i64 0} Is there a way to encode this relation using existing tbaa metadata that I'm missing? Or am I consigned to writing my own alias analysis pass? Cheers, -- Tran Ma -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Problems with IPTABLES recent module.
...state -m recent --set -i eth0 --dport 22 --state NEW -A BRUTE_FORCE -m comment -j RETURN --comment "Return to calling chain" COMMIT Perhaps I am missing something obvious but as far as I can determine the rule using the recent module should simply add all traffic coming in over i/f eth0 consigned to port 22 on any ip-addr to the DEFAULT list. I do not expect it to give an error. If I remove this statement then the iptables file loads without error. An interesting thing happens if I simply add a trailing -j to the end of recent module rule above. It fails with this specific error: -c pa...

Design changes are done in Fedora
...ent, but significantly different, replacement that you are forced to accept every seven years. In fact, the freeze, release, support and deprecate schedule that RedHat embraces as a corporate policy bears more than a passing similarity to the 'waterfall' process you, evidently prematurely, consigned to the grave. If RedHat actually adopted incremental rollout of new features to their distribution I would be most happy because, incremental rollouts are NOT SUPPOSED TO BREAK ANYTHING ALREADY IN PRODUCTION. And that condition is most certainly not met in every case of RHELx+1 I have dealt with....

...considered in certain contexts > such as publishing or CMS extensions), was a motivation > for the metadata discussion. i don't disagree with you. it was. especially on a general level. i merely wanted to specify a couple things, and do it concretely: 1. factors generally consigned to the c.s.s. file (such as the font, fontsize, leading, and so on) should be thought of as "metadata". 2. the "metadata" should be included _within_ the text per se. (this includes the specifications for _all_ of the output formats, so -- just as one "for instance"...

Parent directory handling of file type?
Hi all, Is there maybe an undocumented parameter with which to tell puppet to create missing parent directories when using the ''file'' type? And if not, should there be? I actually expected it to be default behaviour to create missing parent directories when doing something like: {{{ file { "/usr/local/svn/repos": ensure => directory, owner => root } }}}

CENTOS 4.7 or 5.2 32 bits O.S. for ORACLE DB server??
we plan to setup our ORACLE database server (32 bits DB) and use dell r900 server. This server can put up to 128GB RAM. We are thinking use 32 bits CENTOS 4.7 or 5.2. My concern about CENTOS 5.2 is it only support up to 16 GB RAM on 32 bits O.S. Any suggestion? ______________________________________________________________________________________________________

yaml representation of manifests
I''m using the external_nodes functionality to read in a flat file of a node''s configuration. Currently said file is a straight yaml file (just to keep things simple). The place I''m currently stuck is in doing some more advance node configurations and placing that data in the yaml file. For example: node ''foo'' { $var1 =
