winbind wiki ( and extra sernet info conserning winbind )
Hai, ? The wiki http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba/Domain_Member ? is missing something like this tekst.? when you follow the wiki, from this point ? wbinfo -p Ping to winbindd succeeded wbinfo -u administrator dns-rtd-dc2 dns-rtd-dc1 krbtgt guest getent passwd output = only linux users ? you need to set nis (rfc2307) (uid/gid) on the users and groups in the AD, then when done, this works

ISDN Cause codes
Hi All Just been looking at stats for one of my sites, and I'm conserned about the number of error cause codes being returned from the telco for example 12000 calls processed 131 are cause code 31* normal. unspecified.* 139 are cause code 28 * invalid number format (address incomplete).* 112 are cause code 1 *Unallocated (unassigned) number. *this adds up to abou...

deal with R.package panel
hello! my question conserns with use of "panel" package (written by R.C.Gentlman) (unfortunately the manual and help sites are very short) 1. is it possible to do analysis just without a(ny) covariate? i suggest do it by introducing a covariate with level=0 in all obervations, this because of Q(z)=Q_o exp(beta*z), but it seemingly doesn't work 2. in the option gamma in the

MixMonitor and ChanSpy strangeness...
Hello there... Noticed some strangeness going on with mixmonitor and chanspy, the called (External SIP) party seem to be responding before the calling party (Internal SIP) on call recordings and also when you listen in using chanspy. as far as the agent (calling party) is conserned the conversation is perfectly normal... just not the recordings that are produced, or any spying that's going on at the time. This is happening on mixmonitor recordings even if you're not listening in on chanspy too. Any suggestions? Cheers Geraint -------------- next part -------------...

rsync, backup, Macintosh files
...as I am far from an expert on this matter. Our file server is running Debian Stable. We use Samba for our Windows users and Netatalk (AFP) for our OS X clients. The filesystem used on the server is ReiserFS if that is of any intress. Since we keep a lot of fonts etc. on the disks, I am really conserned about the resource forks not being properly handled by rsync during backup or restore ? this is critical! So, through Google I noticed a couple of projects dedicated to patches or binaries of rsync which allowed for the safe keeping of resource forks ? but these projects were targeted for OS X...

[LLVMdev] languages, semantic trees, LLVM interfaces
Hello LLVM fathers, 1. "languages, semantic trees" what do you think ideally, do languages implementations based on LLVM need internal semantic tree or they should rather try to use LLVM directly in/after syntax parsing? For languages like C++ the expected answer is "of course we need an internal semantic tree between parsing and LLVM!" But I am still

RFC: LLD: creating linker-generated sections as input sections instead of output sections
This idea popped up in the review thread for https://reviews.llvm.org/D25627 . Problem: Currently, LLD creates special sections that are not just concatenations of input sections but need link-time data generation, such as .got, .plt, interp, .mips.options, etc., as output sections. We have OutputSectionBase subclasses (e.g. GotSection, PltSection, etc.) to create data. Even though this scheme

LLD: creating linker-generated sections as input sections instead of output sections
I would suggest converting only part of linker generated sections to input sections to reduce amount of code changes. For example it's unlikely that SymbolTableSection or StringTableSection would ever require such treatment, so why converting them to input sections? 2016-10-19 11:03 GMT+03:00 George Rimar <grimar at accesssoftek.com>: >>This idea popped up in the review thread

Users and groups named in Russian disappeared after upgrade samba4 PDC
...we talk about? Is it worth investigating or > easier recreating? You right. It was 36 accounts and 2 groups, not too many. After all my attempts to fix it I have recreated whole my domain and rejoined all clients. It was very tiresomely but I had no more time to try to repair it. I am still conserned if some day it may happen again. It was strange that restoring backup didn't help. I thought that my operating system can be damaged, so I tried to restore the backup inside an lxc-container. I tried to restore some different backups that have been made in different days and months. No one...

[SOLUTION/Summary] ..all my routing / VPN problems.
Right, time to (as someone said) put this thread to a proper rest. Some of you have probably read my VPN/Routing/Lost packages hassles in the last week, well, here is the rundown. Look at http://statler.mupp.net/shorewall/Layout.jpg Basically. The shorewall knows the route to the .224.0/24 net is through .221.221. The systems in .221.0/24 has the FW as their default gw. The FW could reach

CentOS-3 s390(x) errdata: Updated python and rh-postgresql packages fix security issues(s)
Hi, First some general explanations about what this will be. There is this 's390(x)' in the Subject: and that will mean it's bi-arch annouce conserning both - s390 and s390x. If there is for example only 's390', it's about 31bit version only. I've notified that i cannot anymore paster the source for information on this, so i just say Updated: Python and

Various Doubts About Wine
Well, I'm using Hardy Heron from the last release of Ubuntu, and everything runs almost perfect with wine ... :? But I'm Having problems when I'm trying games.. The First problem came with the error of the installer of the game,

[LLVMdev] languages, semantic trees, LLVM interfaces
Valery, For any language with relatively sophisticated syntax and semantic rules, you will probably need a higher-level representation like an Abstract Syntax Tree in order to do type-checking and other kinds of checking. For OCAML, for example, the front-end is quite sophisticated and complex and the LLVM representation would not be suitable for supporting all the checking and translation. It

Printing from WinCE5.0
I'm trying to print through network, from WinCE5.0 machine to Debian machine with Samba printer share. The problem is, tht only first 1024 bytes of print data are spooled and printed. Printing to Samba share from WinXP or Win10 or Win98 works fine. Also printing from WinCE to printer shared on WinXP works fine. I've tried various smb.conf parameters to no avail. I've viewed Samba logs,

DNS record info (samba-tool)
Even though you can create and delete DNS records I have been puzzling how you list records that might be in a zone? samba-tool dns add SAMBA1.SAMBA4.LAN 1.168.192.in-addr.arpa 32 PTR SAMBA1.SAMBA4.LAN --username=administrator say the above adds a record to 1.168.192.in-addr.arpa even if I do a zoneinfo on 1.168.192.in-addr.arpa pszZoneName???????????????? : 1.168.192.in-addr.arpa ?
