Hi, I have replications problems on one of my server. Replication was working since month and yet stopped working. on the remote server: islad01:~ # samba-tool drs showrepl | more Default-First-Site-Name\ISLAD01 DSA Options: 0x00000001 DSA object GUID: 3fe6bc7c-1116-4344-96a6-c58c43bc217f DSA invocationId: 89351eec-7207-45f5-b6b9-cebfcacfd0e3 ==== INBOUND NEIGHBORS ====

AD replication issue
I believe the problem is a lack of outbound replication for non PDC emulator DCs. You'll notice isn't even trying because last successful was epoch (never) yet there are no errors. Inbound replication for this DC seems fine. [root at vsc-dc02 ~]# samba-tool drs showrepl [...]==== OUTBOUND NEIGHBORS ==== DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=mediture,DC=dom aws\AWS-DC01 via RPC DSA object GUID:

Trouble demoting DC with broken replication
Hi all, I am currently struggling to remove one of our Samba4 DC from the domain. Some time ago, adding a new Samba DC to our AD did not succeed and I had to demote the new server again. After removal, replication on one of the old/existing DCs got weird. /usr/local/samba/bin/samba-tool drs showrepl gives the following: Standardname-des-ersten-Standorts\dc02 DSA Options: 0x00000001 DSA object

NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS after removing a DC and WERR_BADFILE when trying to remove broken DC
Situation: Trying to upgrade Samba from 4.1 to 4.5 without disruption too much by adding new DCs and demoting old ones. After bringing online the first 4.5 DC, I ran `demote --remove-other-dead-server=` on that DC to remove one of the old 4.1 DCs (held no FSMO roles). That seemed to run fine (the DC had been offline for a few weeks at that point and I didn't want to restore it just for

Max consecutive increase in sequence
Hi all R helpers, I'm trying to comeup with nice and elegant way of "detecting" consecutive increases/decreases in the sequence of numbers. I'm trying with combination of which() and diff() functions but unsuccesifuly. For example: sq <- c(1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1); I'd like to find way to calculate a) maximum consecutive increase = 3 (from 1

samba-tool drs showrepl not reporting last attempt/success time correctly
I'm having a strange"samba-tool drs showrepl" output and I don't know where to start to fix it. My environment: - SRVWIN: Win2008R2 DC server - SRVSAMBA: Samba 4.7.6 DC on Ubuntu 18.04 Server - SRVSAMBA2: Samba 4.7.6 DC on Ubuntu 18.04 Server To test AD replication I've created an user object on SRVWIN and it appears on both SRVSAMBA and SRVSAMBA2 (checked with ADUC from

How do you test for "consecutivity"?
I need to use R to model a large number of experiments (say, 1000). Each experiment involves the random selection of 5 numbers (without replacement) from a pool of numbers ranging between 1 and 30. What I need to know is what *proportion* of those experiments contains two or more numbers that are consecutive. So, for instance, an experiment that yielded the numbers 2, 28, 31, 4, 27 would be

hmm, ? Well based on what i see, that error comes at the end of this process, so strange it errors out. Beside that your output looks good. ? You can try to install these, if its python problem Run samba-toold drs showrepl? after every install, that helps in detecting which package you might miss. ? apt install python-dnspython ? apt install python-iso8601 ? apt install python-crypto ? apt

messy replication
Hi all, I have an old dc (4.0.9). Let's call it dc1. I also have a new one (4.5.16) which I'm planning to switch to. Let's call it dc2. After initial set up of dc2 I initialised replication and things looked ok for a couple of weeks. Recently I've managed to mess it up. Possibly by editing users and DNS records. Or copying Kerberos cache and trying to use it elsewhere for

NOT-SO-SIMPLE function!
...t up a function which processes my data according to the following rules: 1. if (x[i]==0) NA 2. if (x[i]>0) log(x[i]/(number of consecutive zeros immediately preceding it +1)) The data this will apply to include a variety of whole numbers not limited to 1 & 0, a number of which may appear consecutively and not separated by zeros. Below is an example with a detailed explanation of the output desired: x <- c(3,2,0,1,0,2,0,0,1,0,0,0,0,4,1) output desired = c(1.098, 0.69, NA, -0.69, NA, -0.41, NA, NA, 1.098, NA, NA, NA, NA, -0.22, 0) the 1st element, 3, becomes log(3) = 1.098612 the 2nd elem...

Error Removing Samba Server from Domain
Hi, Is the problem because of the Samba version? Since my Windows server is 2008 and was having trouble joining the Samba 4.10 on domain , I chose to install Samba from the very old Debian 9 repository (apt-get). Now that Samba is in the domain I want to upgrade to 4.10. Is there a problem updating Debian 4-5-16 from the Van Belle repository ( http://apt.van-belle.nl/)? I believe this may
