Odd Virsh Capabilities response
Tried to migrate a few VMs from existing system to an older host that we
threw in the rack to facilitate some server reshuffling.
Migration complained about lack of capabilities (which I expected its an
older server) but when I looked at what I should throw into the xml file
I got a core2duo when it should have been at least Penryn or something
(Xeon E5345)
Of course the VMs work fine with

virt-p2v - Windows 10 guest hangs at boot after successful P2V
Hi all,
I successfully virt-p2v'ed a Windows 10 laptop to my Centos 7.3 instance
running KVM. However, on boot, the guest hangs. Is there a registry fix
that is needed after the P2V is done? Here is what is in the guest's

Did you actually measure runtime, or did you look at assembly?

[LLVMdev] Bignums
Hello all!
I'm working on a library with bignum support, and I wanted to try LLVM
as an apparently simpler and more portable system to my current design
(a Haskell script which spits out mixed C and assembly). Porting the
script to use the LLVM bindings instead of the current hack was pretty
easy. But I have a few remaining questions:
(1) Are bignums exposed to any higher-level

[LLVMdev] How does SSEDomainFix work?
Hello. This is my 1st post.
I have tried SSE execution domain fixup pass.
But I am not able to see any improvements.
I expect for the example below to use MOVDQA, PAND &c.
(On nehalem, ANDPS is extremely slower than PAND)
Please tell me if something would be wrong for me.
Thank you.

CentOS 5 Issues Booting Under VMWare
Hi,
VMWare has been a great tool for me to experiment with CentOS 3 and
CentOS 4. However, I'm running into issues with CentOS 5. First, it
is *extremely* slow to boot (as in it takes over an hour to boot
CentOS 5 on a machine that boots CentOS 3 & 4 in less than one
minute). Then, after an hour of slowly watching the messages go by on
the console and the CPU of the host machine pegged
